Re: OT Rant-CoPays

Reading your post about all of the hoops that you are going thru just makes me so angry. There has got to be a more simplistic and efficient way to deal with health care for all. One should not have to go thru all of this when sick and most vulnerable. What kind of society are we anyway. Is medical ...

Re: News from Dr appt

My husband had 2 thoracentesis which brought him much relief from pulmonary effusion. I think that he had some regrets for not having the first one sooner. I was in the room with him for both of the procedures and he did not seem to be uncomfortable during then nor did he complain. It seems to me th...

Re: NEW THREAD FOR LOVED ONES LEFT BEHIND ONGOING

Patience, RE: I don't date widows I agree totally with your assessment. I did not even have a conversation with this guy and he is judging me without even knowing me. He was a divorced man and said that he had been single longer than he had been married and learned some things along the way. Perhaps...

Re: NEW THREAD FOR LOVED ONES LEFT BEHIND ONGOING

It has been 1 1/2 year for me since my husband's death. Anniversaries, birthdays, holidays don't particularly cause more sadness for me. Mostly it is a day to day thing...a never ending rollercoaster. I definitely don't think things have gotten any easier if anything I think that I have been missing...

Re: NEW THREAD FOR LOVED ONES LEFT BEHIND ONGOING

SFLwife, Originally I was planning on spreading Dennis' ashes in the mountains. He died in Jan. 2014. I had thought that I would wait till a beautiful spring or summer day when all of the kids were home and we could go out to the mountains and spread them. But in the meantime I place the ashes on to...

Re: Religion on the forum? Your thoughts?

When my DH was first diagnosed, I became friends on facebook with an old high school classmate of mine. He was never a close friend, I did not know him well but we did have some HS classes together. He sent me a friend request and recognizing him as a former classmate, I accepted. Evidently he knew ...

Re: Documentary Empeoror of all maladies tonight on PBS

I found the first part of the documentary very interesting and informative. I was shocked at the statistics of the odds of getting cancer in one's lifetime. I had no idea that it was that high.... 1 in 2 for men and 1 in 3 for women.

Dianne,
I can only imagine how utterly terrifying that must have been. So glad that no one was hurt. Praying that the doctors can find an explaination and cure for what happened. ((((HUGS)))))
