Just had 9l/9.5qts ascites fluid drained! Feeling much better so far.

I saw one of the oncs today.My regular guy is on vacation. He said that I should stop Folfiri and he will work out a new plan. Meanwhile I am going back to hospital tomorrow for drainage.

Yes this is presumably the same recurrence that we detected back in January, and have been fighting with FOlFiIRI since then.

The surgeon has just discussed the CT scan results with me. Not good news. Massive ascites present. No obvious obstruction. All he can offer me is parecentesis drainage for symptomatic relief.

In the big house again due to severe abdominal distension. Doing a CT scan tomorrow. Should be interesting.

@prtza: how is FOLFIRI working for you so far? Is there a reason you didn't get Avastin? I'm sorry about your bowel obstruction.. my dad had one of those and it was so uncomfortable for him.
