I get it all of the time. Anesthesia causes a lot of it since you are breathing at such a slow shallow rate. I have had anesthesia at least 10 to 15 times.

Re: The Faces of Successful Colorectal Cancer Immunotherapies Vol. 1

That is all so encouraging and I thank you for sharing but like you I am NOT MSI high. I had the test 2 months ago. So my question is there anything on the horizon that looks promising for stage IV CRC who are not MSI high.

Re: Anybody here had long-term remission after a recurrence?

I had 3 remissions/periods of NED. The 2nd remission was long. 4 years before a routine scan found a recurrence. The other 2 remissions were both 1 1/2 years.

Re: Depression

Depression is a tough thing to fight. I always seemed to get depressed about 2 weeks after I have a major surgery. This last major surgery I had in September I had serious depression to the point I thought I was going to loose my mind and have a nervous breakdown. I asked my oncologist for anti depr...

Re: Here we go. Recurrence.

I think you have to look at it as more of a chronic disease as I have learned to do. I fully know what you are going through. I was NED 3 times only for it to come back in the liver 3 times and how my chest wall. But there is hope. The end of this month will mark my 10 year cancerversary. Stage IV t...

Re: Need some help - advice/suggestions

Get a second or third opinion. Maybe genetic testing to hopefully aid in finding out the origin of the cancer. Her Oncologist sounds like a real jackass.

Re: Y-90 Treatments

i DID Y90 a little over a year ago for a 7.4cm tumor. It steadily shrunk for 5 months to 3cm which at that point it was small enough to ablate which I had done via cryo ablation. so y90 was very helpful for me. I had little to no side effects. The worse being hiccups for several hours the next day w...

Very interesting article that gives some hope. Do you know if and when this drug would go for FDA approval, possibly fast track? and if and when it could become available/approved for standard of care.

Re: questions from a newer stage 4 to survivors..

ALWAYS insist on surgery when you can get it. I have had 10 surgeries 5 of which were major surgeries. I am still here after being stage IV for 10 years.

Re: Off to surgery tomorrow

Surgery went great. They took out the entire 10th and 11th ribs with good margians. Recovery is going well. I am going home today after just 4 days. Pain management has been the hardest part. Rib resection is definitely more painful than liver or colon resection surgery. They finally found a combina...

Off to surgery tomorrow

I haven't updated about my condition on here in a while. Basically all of the ablations and SBRT I have been getting over the past several months seemed to have worked on all of the tumors with the exception of the one tumor on my right 10th rib. For some reason that tumor is VERY aggressive, but fo...

Surprisingly good scan results

It was way better than I expected after all the Hell I went through over the past 2 months. The tumor between my IVC, liver and kidney that we did 4 rounds of SBRT is gone. The lung tumor and the chest wall tumor on my back that was ablated aren't even mentioned. The liver tumor that I did y90 on an...
