Re: Mucinous Adenocarcinoma questions

I was dxed with mucinous adenocarcinoma with signet ring features via biopsy June 2009. I was given T4 as a size, since the cancer was considered outside the organ of origin. my cancer was atypical since it was a fistula i had been sporting for about 14 years. It branched off the rectum and exited p...

Re: Silly Sayings & Slang thread

craptastic - adjective 1) to accentuate or overdramatize "that crappy feeling", ragardless of source e.g., I thought it was the chemo, but work has been just craptastic lately. 2) A way to describe your ostomate friends and/or your favorite ostomy support site. e.g., I am looking forward t...

Re: Radiation - what is it like??

My radiation followed 8 rounds of chemo, five days a week, with weekends off and the 5FU flowing 24/7. The measuring and the marking was actually fun, though I might have been a bit restless for their taste(s). They wanted me to hold something when they took their pics, so I ended up using the infus...

Re: Trip to the ER on vacation...fun

Nothing like going to the ER while on vacation but at least I didn't need to be admitted. My husband was freaked out because he had to leave to go home this morning because he needs to go back to work. He was boarding his flight when I called to tell him I had to go to the ER, he wasn't too happy w...

Re: I Pooped my Pants at a Rock Concert

maybe Joan inadvertently played the "brown note"?

my accidents would be because my ostomy technology failed. which would suck because i have a few shows coming up and i don't want to jinx it.

Re: but I look horrible in orange...

I almost wish i looked at this sooner... When my a#$ troubles began, thus resulting in the fistula that turned cancerous, the surgeon i was dealing with would put his hand on my shoulder to push me down so he can shove on or more of his fat fingers in my now non-existent rectum. your prison imagery ...

Re: Well, NOW's a fine time to tell us....

when it comes to a scope, i think a GI would be the best candidate to consider as the "colon-O-scope operator".

one would think that any sort of blood would at least consider a look, even if it is the ever so deadly sigmoid-o-scope, especially when the complainant is young.

Re: Buying a new car

ANd i posted in the less popular one. Figures. I am digging my new wheels. I am still trying to figure out a name. When my wife's 03 ford explorer crapped its pants, we got a decent deal on a used Grand Marquis, which I named The Grand Marquis De Sade. Right now I am leaning toward The Lady Versa (f...
