PD-1 Clinical Trial

Hello All, It's been a while since I have posted but I do come on at least a couple times a week and pray everyday for all of us! I have just recently had my tumor tested with the following results back: "This patient's adenocarcinoma is diffusely, weakly to moderately positive for PD-1. Greate...

Re: JulieG .... another beautiful person gone too soon.

I am at a loss for words missing Julie. Her and I were chemo buds! I met Julie back in the spring of 2013 when I started my chemo. We hit it off right away and even re-arranged our schedules to have treatment the same time so that we could chat. We exchanged good news and bad, cried and laughed toge...

Re: FOR ALL ON CLINICAL TRIALS (edited name)

Hi all I am really far too early to know if this is working or not. The only thing we have to go by is my bloodwork. Day 15 showed a significant decrease in my cea with a lot of inflammation. Day 30 showed a significant rise back up and even higher than base but got a phone call from my doctor telli...

Re: Moving forward with a clinical trial

Hi guys, Just wanted to stop in and give you a quick update on my treatment. Not much to tell at this point except my cea did drop from 415 to 290 which is significant and promising. The procedure itself was realativly easy, only issue being pain control post surgery as I have been on so much medica...

Re: Why Am I Dying?

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Not a day will go by that you won't think of her but hopefully in time those thoughts will be happy positive ones that bring a smile to your face as I know that is probably how she would have wanted it to be. As the cancer patient myself, my biggest fear in this w...

Re: Trial NCT01040000

It looks like a dose escalation trail so important to ask the doctors what dose you will be getting and what does do they anticipate will be the appropriate dose to be efficient. I guess what I am saying is you don't want to jump on too early as that does may be so minimal that it's likely not to ha...

Re: FOR ALL ON CLINICAL TRIALS (edited name)

Hi Diane, I can't express how happy it makes me that you have been chemo free for so long. I wish I had an absolute "I would do this" advice for you but I don't. I think that taking a break is for your bodies sake is always a good idea However with that said, is there a chance that IF you ...

Re: Has anyone looked into this clinical trial ?

I thought this trial was not enrolling anymore. All my wonderful surgeons are at Sloan and I had two appointments with the oncologist conducting this trial. I found him to be the coldest, most uncaring doctor ever. If you are considering a trial I would like to mention the one I have enrolled in. I...
