CT scan results after 12 rounds FOLFIRI

Hi! It's been awhile since I have posted anything--nothing really exciting was going on just going through my last half of FOLFIRI. Finally finished with that and had CT scan and got results today. Scan shows more progression of mets in liver. So we have plan B in place already--liver targeted chemo...

Latest update...

It's been awhile since I've posted anything as far as my progress. Had a CT scan after 6 rounds of FOLFIRI on Feb. 16th. Results came back that the mets to my liver have grown ever so slightly--I beleive he measured it to be something like .6 mm that it grew. So they aren't responding all that well ...

Re: Just CRC ramblings

Glad to hear the updates and good news! Nothing wrong with having ordinary days and living large is the only way to live! I have lung thingys too---very small not able to be biopsied and my onc isn't at all worried about it.

Keep livin' and watching the sunsets! :D

Re: husband with stage IV

Hi Becky! Welcome to the site and sorry to hear of your husband's diagnosis. I am in the same boat as he is--was diagnosed 12/2009 with stage 4 colon cancer with mets to my liver. I too am not a candidate for a liver resection as my mets are on both lobes and very spread out. At this stage of things...

Re: liver met question.

I too have multiple mets to my liver----they apparently like me because they aren't going anywhere and are growing. I haven't experienced any pain from them.

Re: Do you ever forget your port is there?

I don't pay any mind to my port. The only time I even really think about it is when I look in the mirror. As for it being less noticable is you gain weight--highly unlikely. I am on the heavier side and have plenty of tissue in that area and you can still see the little bumps and the shape of the po...

Re: Folfiri a breeze for sis

Glad to hear that all is going well with your sis's folfiri experience. I too am doing folfiri and haven't had any issues--my folfox experience was the same--no issues. I feel blessed that my biggest problem at this point is fatigue. I can handle sleep LOL.

Adriane, So sorry tohear about your husband. I have been away from the site for abit lately and saw your post today. Re: Pinging Brownbagger....Pickle Juice??

Until reading this thread, I never put the whole pickle thing together. Since starting chemo I have always craved pickles and lemon. the lemon I knew was because it helped get rid of the metallic taste, the pickles now I know must have been because of feeling sluggish and needing hydration. I even a...

Re: Takedown Tomorrow

Glad to hear that all went well! The waiting is the hardest part now--but hope all it comes soon. My only advice is to definitley follow the doc's advice on lifting and such following the surgery. I am just now to my 8 weeks and still taking things as it comes with lifting. My site is healed over an...

One year cancerversary

As I got ready to type this I saw that there are a few people who are also remembering their cancerversary. I hesitate to say celebrate because I know that was the furthest thing from my mind when I got the diagnosis. But now that its been a year I celebrate each day. My first "unofficial"...
