Re: APR surgery for low rectal tumor

My Pete had VLR Tumor 11/11. We had 4 opinions. 2 said 80/20 we can save the sphincters, one said 50/50 and said APR. We went with one fantastic, ace-surgeon who spent almost 4 hours hand-sewing the connection since a stapler would not have worked. My hero. Pete is doing great.....so anyone who has ...

Re: GABAPENTIN

No side effects. Started with one x day, increased to four a day gradually over a weeks time and now just 3 in the AM. Prescribed for low back nerve pain and Surprise! It has helped the neuropathy in the feet. Interesting because not one Doc (diagnosis 2011) even suggested it to us. Yes, not all peo...

Update Pete

Pete's last scan with Dr Kemeny was clear. If all goes as planned, Hai pump Will be removed end of 2018. Best decision we made was Dr D'Angelica and Dr Kemeny (hai) at Sloan. We would encourage anyone that has liver mets to At least see Dr K and get her opinion! Pete turns 65 in November and things ...
