FOLFOX Neuropathy

Last month I finished my 12th FOLFOX round... WOOOHOOO. I am, however, having a serious case of neuropathy in my hands and feet. Does this go away? Does it get back to normal? How long does it take? I don't think I noticed it that much during treatment (probably because of other side effects) but no...

Re: White stool

Thanks for the input. They still are unsure what is causing it for me and it appears they are looking at BILIRUBIN levels to determine if it is a liver issue. The issue self-corrected, but now in the middle of treatment #6 it started again.

White stool

Just waiting on my doctor to respond to a message I sent and worrying, of course. I am into my 5th round of FOLFOX and starting 1-2 rounds ago I started experiencing major stomach problems a few days in each time that seemed to last a few more days. Sometimes it was constipation which lead to severe...

Re: questions , because i cant get answers from oncologist

I am currently on FOLFOX and I had _the EXACT same symptoms_ last week. I threw up and my stomach was hurting horribly. I felt like I had to go constantly, but nothing would happen and I would cramp uncontrollably. My oncologist also suggested a daily regiment of lots of water, fiber, and miralax, b...

Re: Port placement question for Folfox chemo

Don't know if this is a concern for you, but I put it on my right side without thinking about the hunting season that was coming up! Needless to say, no birds or wildlife for me this year! I honestly have little to know problems when sleeping now. The only time I really notice my port is when I go t...

Re: Nervous Friday

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings. I don't see how anyone could not have some fear or anxiety about these situations, but I trust God in what He is doing, and I know that no matter what, we can make the best of what we've been given. I genuinely pray for excellent news on Friday for you.

Re: Partial or Total Colectomy

I was faced with the exact same decision a few months ago. I am 30 years old with no family history and my cancer was in the sigmoid region. I initially went in with the mindset that I would have the full colectomy since the doctors seemed to be pushing for it even though my genetic testing wasn't b...

Re: Colon Resection Recovery

I had my resection on 8/24 (took me 8 days to be released) and, like yourself, was admitted about a week or two later because of a very high fever due to an infection. However, I am not experiencing any of the sensations that you are describing. I hope I am not hurting more than helping by replying,...
