Re: Ten years and I missed it!

That’s fantastic! I too just passed 8 years of being diagnosed in April. I rarely come on here anymore, but’s that’s because my husband suffered a massive stroke 3 years ago. I am now his full time caregiver. Cancer was a breeze compared to what he’s going through. My yearly check up is next week. P...

Re: Looking for Stage II Updates for Colon Cancer Peeps

I was diagnosed with stage 2A Rectal cancer 8 years ago. I had a complete response to Cheng/radiation. I did 4 months of chemo after surgery. I have a permanent colostomy. I have been cancer free for 8 years. I have an appointment in May, and hopefully I’m still NED. Good luck with everything!

Re: BrownBagger ....... I don't know what to say

I am at a loss for words. I haven't been on here in a long time, but I do every now, and then read posts. When I read this my heart dropped. I'm still in shock! Rip Eric, this board will not be the same without you! ❤️

7 years Since diagnosis

Hey guys, it's been a long time. I'm glad to see so many that are still here when I was diagnosed, and sad to see so many newbies. I sometimes just lurk, but not as often anymore. Not 20x a day like I used too. I was diagnosed 7 years ago, and have been NED since. My last scan was last year. I have ...

Re: 5 years ago ... The dreaded diagnosis

That is great news! I remember your husband was diagnosed a year after me. It's been 6 years for me. Congrats again, and may we remain cancer free forever.

Re: CT Scan Results (good) but Oncologist Rant

Mine says the same thing on my reports from last year, and 2014. It reads Bones: There is a stable 9mm Lucency within the manubrium, possibly an enchondroma. There are no suspicious lyric or blastic osseous lesions. Then at the end of the report it says stable 9mm manubrial Lucency, likely benign. M...

Re: O/T - Thyroid nodule

I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer 2 months after finishing chemo for RC cancer! I went in for my scans following chemo, and they said there was a nodule on my thyroid about 1/2 centemeter! My oncologist assured me not to worry that it's most likely benign. That same day he sent to me to an endocri...

Kyle Gendron (handicap 18)

Our friend Kyle has lost his battle with cancer! Kyle was an amazing man. He lived about a mile away from me. Our town has truly lost a hero! He was loved by so many people and was such an inspiration to all of us. He leaves behind a beautiful family. Please keep them in your prayers. Rest in peace ...

Re: No more oxaliplatin for me - now what?

Belle, I don't usually respond, because my writing skills aren't that great! I felt that I had to let you know I am always thinking of you. You are truly an amazing person! You are one of the few people on here who would respond when I had questions, and you really helped me a lot with your kind wor...
