Stage 4 in 2011 still NED in 2020

Jim had his colonoscopy today and was all clear. Not a single polyp in sight!
Keep up the good fight, friends.

Re: Stage 4 to NED- Please tell us

Yes! My husband Jim had been cancer free since 2012. Positive attitude, good doctors and a strong support system helped him (us).
Best wishes to you.

Happy news

Hi all, It's been a while since I last visited or posted, but I wanted to share today's happy news. Jim's yearly colonoscopy not only showed no recurrence, but there wasn't even a polyp to remove. Re: Any Stage 4 long term survivors/cured ?

My husband Jim was diagnosed in 2011 and after chemo, radiation, surgeries, and more chemo, is still cancer free.
Thanks be to God and his incredible doctors.

Re: Stage 4, 5 years cancer free

Thank you, all.

And yes, yearly blood work and physical is in order. Jim already has his next appointment on the calendar and his onc suggested not having yearly ct scans any more. His oncologist actually said he could still see him for his annual if he wanted, but could also go with a gp.
