Re: Hai pumps?

Thank you so much for the information. Mgh does not offer hai pumps and sends people to SKM. As of this morning, my sister was still waiting on the appointment. Sounds like things have been sorted out in the last few weeks. You guys are far more in the know then many doctors.

Re: Hai pumps?

Thank you. Her oncologist, Dr Nip, contacted Dr Epstein directly yesterday. We are waiting for an appointment. Dr Nip believes that SKM is no longer offering that treatment. I’m hoping he is wrong. I’m also hoping we can get some back up hospitals, like Anderson, who still have pumps available if SK...

Hello, My sister has been fighting stage IV colon cancer four years. She currently has inoperatable mets on her liver. Re: New user. 4 months after HIPEC, spots on liver and peritoneum, please please help me

Yes. About one year after my suster’s Hipec surgery, they found a “reoccurance” in her abdominal wall. Drs were dismal convinced she was doomed. Well a month before, my sister thought she signed up for a 5k, but had accidentally signed up for a half marathon. And she ran it. It wasn’t cancer. Scar t...

Re: Recommendations for stage 4/liver mets

Thank you. I’ve given her the information about Dr. Kemeny. Fingered-crossed that she makes an appointment. I’m extremely disappointed mgh didn’t even mention the possibility of a HAI pump, I did some research and it seems like a good option. My sister is not on this board, but anybody would be will...

Re: Loss of my sister

I am so terribly sorry. My sister, the mother of a 3 and 4 year old, was recently diagnosed. We also lost our parents young, so my heart breaks for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May you find comfort in your sister's spirit and in her memory.

Re: colon cancer ?

Well, it is normal to have bleeding with pregnancy. The same thing you are describing happened to my sister, and progressively got worse after my niece (now 3) was born. The doctors were very dismissive, telling my sister that it was just hemorroids related to giving birth. 3 weeks ago, she finally ...
