hello there... i too suggest you get a reputable colorectal surgeon with experience... i have a temporary colostomy, and have no problem with it... i am taking heavy chemo now for 3 mets in lung...but, i don't know if i will have the reversal when i'm done... so, if your wife does have the colostomy...

hello :-) i am very sorry to hear this news... the same thing happened to me...after a successful liver resection, i developed 3 small mets in my lungs... the oncologist doubled my folfiri/avastin and waited 2 months for another catscan... the good news was that the chemo was working...no growth in ...

right after i posted this, i received a call from oncology nurse... guess onc had just read report on ultrasound... said "no tumor showing up" which i take as good news...i will see an urologist and perhaps he will suggest a stent (sp)....... anyways, in a way i'm relieved...i was just so ...

hope this finds everyone here having a good day... i was just wondering??????????? on my last c-scan they found 3 tiny lung mets along with a "blocked" kidney?? several days ago i had a kidney ultrasound which showed nothing obvious, no changes......so, i have to wait and talk to the oncol...

i really don't have an answer for that question... i DO know that i've had PLENTY of waterish movements over the months because of the chemo...like i said, the flat wafers tend to leak for me...so far (knock on wood), the convex have been wonderful...NO LEAKS!! ask, ask, ask...until you find your an...

i can sympathize with you and your ostomy issues... i have had many problems within the past year...but, i found out just recently that a CONVEX wafer is most suitable for a temporary, or LOOP colostomy... i use, and always have, coloplast products...convex wafers and drainable pouches...most import...
