Re: Happy 19 Cancerversary to me!!!

Congratulations. I look forward to your post every year. You reminded me that's it's also my 19 year anniversary. Maybe, one of these days, we will be able to celebrate together again.

Re: Happy 17 Year Cancerversary AND Happy 60th birthday to me!!!

Congratulations and happy birthday. We were diagnosed at approximately the same time. This year I forgot about my anniversary until today. Then I thought, I better look if CPTMAC had her yearly post. Again, congrats and happy birthday.

Re: Swinging Chicken

I happened to come online today and saw this post. What memories! Bev was certainly our den mother. I remember when she wanted to organize a get together. Unfortunately, that never happened. Belle was such a fighter. Like so many, she tried everything possible, and fought through so many set backs. ...

Re: Great News!!!

Congratulations!! Positive news is always great to hear. Belated or early happy birthday. I had a colonoscopy in September and all was good. Since we were in the midst of the pandemic, masks were required. I always tell people that until they've been through a colonoscopy while wearing a mask, don't...

Re: Prep for colonoscopy

I've been asking for years to be able to use the newer preps that don't require you to drink massive amounts of foul liquid. I keep getting the "GoLYTELY iS tHe BesT PreP" excuse. Because the actual DOCTORS have never had to take that shit themselves !!!!! I posted 4-5 years ago...

Re: Prep for colonoscopy

Hi Jaynee. It's good to hear from you. My doctor normally uses the Miralax, Gatorade, etc. prep. That's what I used for my last two preps. The first time I used it, I barely tolerated it, and by the morning of my procedure I was really nauseated and bloated. The last time I gagged down about half of...

Re: Sarah DeBord

I was saddened yesterday to hear of her passing. She spoke at one of the survivor events for Get Your Rear in Gear. Sarah was an inspiration and advocate. She will be missed. My condolences to her family.

Happy Birthday and Happy Cancerversary. I always look forward to your yearly post. You give hope and inspiration to so many going thru this battle. This month is also my 16 year cancerversary. A group of us "old" survivors had a few get togethers, so we I've the privilege of meeting you.

Prep for colonoscopy

I haven't been on this site in a long time. It's going on 16 years since I was diagnosed. Well this year is time for my colonoscopy. I have not done well with most preps. My doctor suggested trying Suprep. I don't mind paying, since my insurance won't cover it. Actually, the doctor said they have ne...

Hi SkiFletch. Thank you for your update. I'm sure like many other "oldies" we think of each other and wonder how they are doing. I am so glad that things are going well-that made my day! Your message gives hope to so many that are going through the battle. Continued good luck.

Re: O/T - my furbaby has cancer....hard last weekend

Jaynee, I am sorry to hear this. We went through this last September, and it is heartbreaking. On the logical level, you know you are doing the right thing, but on the emotional level it's awful. I remember during his last month or two, if we went away and came home, we'd hold our breath until we sa...
