Re: 10 Years and Counting

Hi SkiFletch. Thank you for your update. I'm sure like many other "oldies" we think of each other and wonder how they are doing. I am so glad that things are going well-that made my day! Your message gives hope to so many that are going through the battle. Continued good luck.

Re: O/T - my furbaby has cancer....hard last weekend

Jaynee, I am sorry to hear this. We went through this last September, and it is heartbreaking. On the logical level, you know you are doing the right thing, but on the emotional level it's awful. I remember during his last month or two, if we went away and came home, we'd hold our breath until we sa...

Re: SNOW DAY - in the SEATTLE area!

Hi Jaynee. Yesterday we got 3-4 inches of what was supposed to be a light snow. The only problem is Monday we had freezing rain, so the snow is on top of the ice. More snow is expected tonight and tomorrow. Since we had the polar vortex last week with record low temps, and the schools being closed f...

Re: Colonoscopy at 19

Drinking the prep with a straw helps. You can bypass some of your taste buds. Like Lee said, it's a good idea to start early. Sometimes drinking less at a time helps. Some do just the opposite and have no problems-they chug it down and get it over with. If you feel like you can't keep it down, call ...

Re: BrownBagger ....... I don't know what to say

Eric, where do I begin? I've known you since you first came on the board. You were a fighter, so positive. You could look cancer in the eye, and give it "the finger". Cancer wasn't going to stop you from riding, cancer wasn't going to stop you from gardening, cancer wasn't going to stop yo...

I was just leaving the house, and something said to check this board. I don't know what to say right now. RIP my friend.

Cptmac, It is always a pleasure when you come back here and tell your story. It gives so many hope. I don't know if you remember, but we met one time at the MOA when Kathryn organized a survivor's get together. My 13th anniversary is Tuesday, so we have been on the path for the same amount of time. ...

Cancer, it never leaves

This weekend I really hurt my back. Today I went to the Urgent Care department of my orthopedic doctors (yes, more than one). I saw a PA who was wonderful. She was asking me some health questions, and asked if I ever had cancer. I said yes, 13 year's ago. I was expecting the usual reaction of "...

Has anyone tried this? I looked into it a few year's ago, but have never talked to anyone who actually tried it.
I have told my doctor that I'm done doing colonoscopies unless there is a prep I can tolerate.
