Re: FOLFOX Side effects--how long after last treatment?

Jeanne: My last chemo was last June, and I still experience neuropathy mostly in my feet and a little at my fingers. I was told it could last more than a year with the possibility it never gets better. It really does not bother me, just it is a reminder that you had chemo. All other side effects are...

Re: Hubby's been sent home today .

Tell your hubby not to worry about the delay. He has done and completed 8 treatments, and I was told by my Onc that there are currently studies that shows 9 rounds is just as good as 12. He mentioned that to me when I was delayed at the 10th round and it concerned me then, but he assured me that whe...

Re: Preventable, treatable, curable

I had a physical at age 50 which I did every two years , the stool test came positive with blood in the stool, and then was asked to take a kit and test again , came back all clear. Everything is fine, nothing to worry about I was told. Eight months later I went for my first colonoscopy as adviced b...

Re: post-resection update and scared of pathology report...

No, you are not overreacting. Most of us if not all had the same reaction to the news with shock ,disbelief, why me , and the fear of the unknown. You have a lot going for you and for starters you are young and that will make you go through chemo a lot smoother than most who have other medical issue...

Diane: I really feel bad for the not so good news, you were looking forward for the last scan and were handed the bad news. I think that the it might have been there but too small to be detected . On the bright side it is only one met, jut get rid of it and look forward to many years of NED. Keep po...

Re: Colonoscopy perfect at 4 yrs!

Way to go Jen, very happy for your 4 years NED, and hopefully forever. Just curious to know why you were staged 3C , I was staged 3B as my signature shows T3N2a. You have similar pathology finding to mine, should you not be at 3B?. Just wondering , and if I am correct, then you have good news to add...

Re: Bad News today

Diane: Very sorry to hear the bad news, I can understand how discouraging it is to go through three years and to be told something growing at the liver. I am very similar to your stage, and I do have four cysts on my liver. I would not jump to a conclusion yet, cysts do devolep overtime. If it is a ...

Re: Airline travel while on chemo?

I did travel twice but had an antibiotic prescription just incase you do get an infection. My Onc suggested that I take it with me, I did use it once when I got a tonsul infection.
