kinked bowel

thanks nodo and seussfan, grateful for your info.
My colon resection was nearly 8 years ago. Sorry to hear you are still having the same problem nodo - I'm none too keen on going through that again !
I'll just have to keep fingers crossed and hope I feel better soon.

I was discharged and in the following 24 hours had chronic diarrheoa which left me feeling very weak. Two week...

Hi Mary
You just keep on fighting. I was diagnosed stage IIIC in 1999. Nearly eight years on I'm still here; yes a lot has happened in the meantime with mets and many resections, but I'm still fighting and will never stop. Be strong and you will make it.

Laser surgery

Hi folks, Well I had the laser surgery last week in the trachea and glad to say it was not so bad as I expected, a bit of a doddle really compared to the lobectomy and resections before. I'm quite well again now and ready to go back to work for a while. Surgeon says there is no new growth on the lar...

Sherrie I agree with missjv, definitely look into whether a resection of the liver is possible. I had one after my stage 3C dx in 1999 when I was told I had only 20% chance of survival back then. The liver resection was successful and I've had no problem there since. ok I'm still fighting it in othe...

Hi - swellings outside the anus can be haemorrhoids which are not cancerous and can be treated easily. However, any form of rectal bleeding is serious enough to warrant a visit to the doctor. You really MUST try to see someone very soon, no expense is too great for your peace of mind; and if it is s...

Hi Maria, how are you doing.
Did you have a good meet with the oncologist and get all the information you needed.
Are you having any further treatment now or are they just waiting to see if anything has happened when you have the next PET scan.
Am thinking of you.
