I have to come up with a couple of charities to list in Tom's obit. I would like to list this board, is there an address people could send donations to or just the PayPal button? also, had anyone ever heard of colon cancer association (cca) or fight colo-rectal cancer? both get high marks on charity...

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

oh Helen (hugs). how tough it is. I think it is another step on that path, as is a period of agitated activity. at least that's what my brother in law went v through when he passed in July. I'm told is pretty common. our onc told me that he would just sleep more and v more and likely fade out in his...

Re: Bev, how is DH?

bev, I'm so sorry about your step mom (I have one just like that though she's only 85). grief is tough enough at the best of times and you're not going through those right now. Glad to hear Steve is doing some better. hope you're hanging in ok too!

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

yes he's on hospice. Not entirely sure what c they can do other than supply things. they brought a bed for him but he doesn't like it: the air pockets are bumpy and leave v great dents in his swollen legs. social v worker said something about getting a foam topper instead but I don't know how long t...

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

I've been watching Tom fade so much this year, I can't remember what he looKed like last year! of course I recognize him in photos, but I can't look at him and see him the way he used to be. he fell a couple of nights ago, going to the bathroom, so he's been using the...

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

Vickie, I'm surprised hospice lets you do any of that! when we first looked at hospice, they wouldn't even allow IV iron or mag! we had to wait until the onc said there was nothing more they could do before hospice would come in. I never heard of those trials. And they'll take someone on hospice? we...
