Re: Reversal Log: Experience,Problems, Q & A's

All the organs of the body were having a meeting, trying to decide who was in charge. The brain said: "I should be in charge, because I run all the body's systems, so without me nothing would happen." "I should be in charge," said the heart, "because I pump the blood and ci...

Re: BrownBagger ....... I don't know what to say

This--this!--is why I don't check this board often. But for whatever reason I checked today. Eric was helpful to me in those early days after treatment. He was approachable, and responsive. He was a cool guy. Rest In Peace man.

Re: Why I stopped posting

When I was in active treatment it seemed that all of my senses were heightened. Everything seemed just that much more than it had been in the past. When my treatment ended it felt like I had been cut loose without the coping skills to deal with what I had been thru. Scott I hear this loud and clear...

Re: Hey--What's up with NED Posters?

No response necessary. Just being a smarty pants. Believe me, I'm holding back. And that's OK too. I can do that. No one needs to know what I'm really thinking. Bitchslapped I'm not necessarily singling out your response to my original post, but there were a few like it. I was not actually asking w...

A Long Overdue Song About the Rectum

As I said in my other post, I rarely visit this site anymore, but I can see it needs some good tunes, so here we go. Try to sing it to a happy melody: My rectum used to be behind me It was always there to remind me That it was time to have a seat and to get rid of some dead meat (I ate for lunch yes...

Hey--What's up with NED Posters?

I've been NED for over 5 years, and I rarely post anymore. I rarely even visit this board. But just because I'm NED and don't post anymore, doesn't mean I have completely moved on with my life. I imagine the converse is true as well: you can't conclude that continuing to post means one hasn't moved ...

Re: Colonoscopy without meds?

Yes, the last few times without. My doc suggested it because it's now more of a straight shot. I wouldn't say I "enjoyed" the rest of my day each time, but the day wasn't shot. It wasn't that big of a deal and I appreciated being able to see what was going on on the screen and the doc expl...

Re: Feeling I have to poop out my butt!!!

Maybe you just need a reason to escape the kids/hubby and are reminiscing about spending time in the bathroom ignoring them. I know that's where my happy place is.

In fact, I'm there right now on my iPad.

Re: Mean Boss

Check your personnel rules and see if you can write a rebuttal and have it attached to your performance review. Or, after careful consideration, submit one anyway.

Five Years NED

Haven't posted on here in ages. So, after initially being diagnosed Stage 3, as of yesterday I am five years NED. My surgeon says for rectal cancer that is statistically cured, but reminded me that "cancer doesn't play by the rules." And of course, statistics are just what happened to othe...
