Re: Reversal Log: Experience,Problems, Q & A's

Another trivial question???????? So I do think the reversal log is a great idea,,,, Any pictullar type of incontinence underwear I should get,,, don't want to get 10 different varieties, before I get the right one, Obviously people may have different preferences but I'm sure there may be a common o...

Re: Reversal Log: Experience,Problems, Q & A's

All the organs of the body were having a meeting, trying to decide who was in charge. The brain said: "I should be in charge, because I run all the body's systems, so without me nothing would happen." "I should be in charge," said the heart, "because I pump the blood and ci...

Re: Is a ileostomy reversal worth it for a 60 year old guy?

It's simple for me, I had 3 cm left, and my sphincters, For the last 7 years, I completed my job assignments, by waiting for lunch at 11 AM, no breakfast. My hours were 6AM until 2 PM. If I ate, the deluge would come . I'm retired now, and 7 years older !

Bro Nut

You are a new person to the forum. To do list, listen to your health care provider, stay off google !I had a rectal and colon tumor, so I guess that's a plural. I went through FOLFOX, and radiation. It can be accomplished ! 7 years NED !

Re: 10 Years Today!

My birthday is Feb. 20, on that day 7 years ago I had a major problem with my bag, actually the day before . I had an appointment with the my surgeon, and showed up nearly comatose. I was immediately transferred to the emergency ward. That was not a pleasant experience. I was admitted to the hospita...

Re: What Week Of Chemo/Radiation Do The Symptoms Start Getting Worse?

You are lucky, I was told 25, and then was told 3 more and you're done . I had low rectum rad . I also had a tumor in my sigmoid, that caused me to do FOLFOX, during radiation .

Re: What Week Of Chemo/Radiation Do The Symptoms Start Getting Worse?

Final treatment as in before the 3 bumps ? The last 3 treatments target the tumor directly, while the previous have circled the area involved. Once the tumor breaks up, it can feel unlike anything you might have experienced .

Re: Which is correct ? PET or MR

I'm not 100% sure what's going on, but if something is showing up on the MRI but not lighting up on the PET it could mean that they were never mets to begin with or they were mets and the chemo wiped them out. They could just be dead tumors. Where is your husband being treated? I'm gonna jump out o...

Re: First Time Here - Anxiety is High

I have had colon blockage before, and recently got stopped up !It almost scared the shit out of me, but that didn't happen for a while . I had surgery and 3 weeks later got reversed, I wasn't a good candidate for the stoma. The surgeon also kinked my what was left of my colon, causing severe problems . I could and still can eat anything, as long as I stay close to a depository .

Re: Flexible Sigmoidoscopy Scheduled for end of month, and I fear I might have colon cancer

Oft times your GI has seen it all. If you were told there would be possible radiation, he saw it in the rectum ! Radiation can only be done in a stable environment, the sigmoid or other parts of the colon move way to much for this procedure . I had excessive chemo, as since I had 2 tumors, one could...
