Three and a half years as passed since I was diagnosed, am doing good and life has been back to normal. I have not posted much on Colon talk but did come in on a regular basis. Would like to take to express my gratitude to fellow colon talk members, some have left us and some are still very much act...

I was also diagnosed with stage 2a and when through the same agony of "to have or not to have" chemo. In the end due to my slightly elevated CEA at 5.4 (4 weeks after surgery), it was decided that it is best to have chemo and i was prescribed with Xeloda for 6 mths. The effect of Xeloda is...

My Update

Dear All, It has been awhile since i post something here, though i have been following the forum closely. As you all know a 1cm lesion was found at my liver in Oct 2011. After having 6 rounds of Xeloda, the onc requested a PET scan and results show that the liver is clear, no lesion is detected :D. ...

I have 5 cycles of Xeloda so far and i have not have any side effects accept occasional fatigue. But then my work is mostly desk bound, so that may be why i can handle it well. Additionally i am working on a 4 days week so i will not overstretch myself.

Hi, My scan prior to colon resection shows no lesion. It was a scan after my resection and prior to chemo that shows it. Are you from UK? Hi Victoria, I was listed as stage 2, as such only Xeloda. So far i have not encounter any problem with it, just that my RBC distribution is creeping higher (above the normal range). I might be stage 4 is the liver spot turns out to be cancerous, which is highly likely according to the doc .... :) R...

Hi Ryan, My doctor discover a lesion through a CT scan shorty after my colon surgery. An MRI follows but the results is still inconclusive. That was about 2 months ago. It drives me crazy then .. but by keeping myself busy with either work or going out with friends gives me little time to ponder abo...
