Re: Back & Spine Side Effect from Chemo?

I had lower back pain during chemo. I would get it once a week, sometimes a few times a week. Thought I had kiddney stones, CT scan and no stones. I think it has to do with the chemo drugs. Since I finished my 12 rounds no back pain. Hands and feet still have issues.

Re: tumeric against colorectal cancer link

I was taking curcumin in pill form 500 mg before I started chemo Flofox6. It was causing me to bleed for 3 days during treatment. I went off it and bleeding stopped. So I will wait till I am done and start it up again.

Bummer on the reaction. I have 4 treatments to go. My hands and feet feel different now as I get deeper into treatment. I stay away from cold for a few days after treatment. I will say if I want ice cream or a ice cold beer I will drink or eat. I do get hot flashes in between treatments. Hang in the...

Re: Side effects - get worse or change as folfox 6 continues?

I just finished #7 of flofox6. Went back to work after #4. I work outside for the Railroad in Northwest Montana. We had a cold spell when I went back. I could be out of truck for about an hour with all my cold weather gear on. That was the first time my hands started to cramp. My boss works with me ...

Re: Medi-PORT placement feedback ???

I have a BARD powerport. Upper left side placement. Came with a cool braclet. My car has adjustable seatbelts so I set it to sit more on shoulder. My cancer surgeon put mine in no pain afterwards. I don't touch it cause it trips me out. Could not get blood out first 2 times, but now it flows fine. G...

Re: Surgery Monday - Nervous

You have a right to be nervous, but don't. This is the start of a new chapter in your life. I had to be opened up 2 times in 4 days. Had a leak so I needed a colostomy. Healing is about being positive. You will need help to get up if he has to open you up. I tied a rope to the foot of my bed to pull...
