Thank you all for your kind words. It has taken me this long to even post an acknowledgment. It's going to be a month since DH passed away ( and even saying that seems so unnatural) and I feel like I haven't even started processing any of this. I am just going around handling chores and office work ...

My dearest husband and soulmate passed away last Thursday (06/21/2012) from complications following his recent hospital admission. I took him to the ER a week earlier as his energy level had dipped severely and he was listless and showing signs of confusion. I thought it would be entail IVs to boost...

D just had an iron infusion due to anemia. He is now having body aches and quite a bit of joint pain in the knee.
I have given him tylenol as advised by the onc. nurse. Anyone have other suggestions - will applying ice help?

to help DH get more protein and build some muscle and gain weight he's lost during radiation? Pl. share what worked for you. For now I bought the Trader Joe's brand - it seemed like a general mix of protein and daily vitamins, but I'd like to see what our group likes to use. Walmart, Target and the ...

This is truly sad and really hard to digest. My heartfelt condolences and prayers for you and your family.

We definitely qualify as fellow hemorrhoid sufferers. My husband is practically in tears after every trip to the bathroom.
One question - did you bite into the peppercorns or just swallow them like little pills.

DH started his new chemo with FOLFIRI+Erbitux, alongside a shot of B12 which he was v.low on. He was given benedryl and steroids before the infusion and seemed ok during infusion, except he sweat more than normal. After coming home , he's still sweating. Is this a side effect, anyone experience this?
