Re: Uncontrollable Poop = with NO notice

Hi Debbie I feel for you in your situation and really hope you are able to sort out the things on the financial side. Having said that, it would not address the bowel issues. I am sorry about the old injuries which are preventing you from doing the daily enema. Just to let you know that I have never...

Re: Uncontrollable Poop = with NO notice

Hi Deb1957 I seldom post here but I had to chime in on this one. I also had an unsatisfactory reversal in 2010. I did not opt to do a colostomy because I struggled with rashes and leakages on my ileostomy. Someone on this board posted about their success and QOL improvements using the daily enema. I...

Re: Need help from my fellow Enema-ites!!!!!!

I have been doing daily enemas for nearly two years. Most of the time they work like a charm - once a day then I am done. However, there have been two or three periods, the longest lasting maybe 3 weeks when I feel that I have not completely emptied and have had BMs the natural way. I find that what...

Re: The Daily Enema

Oh. I egged Sudeha on a bit to try out the enemas mainly because we seemed to have a great deal in common. Seemingly futile surgeries that found no cancer but left us incapacitated. I was encouraged by the posts here and decided to take the plunge when about two years post reversal my bms were still...

Re: Swimming while on Oxi...and Singapore Slings...

Hi Welcome to Singapore. It is all sunshine interspersed with tropical rainstorms. Cold should not be a great problem even with oxi. I read all the posts and I am frequently moved by the kinship and love on this forum. Glad you are taking a break and hope that you get a warm welcome in Singapore. Gr...

Re: Does anyone else suffer from severe constipation?

Hi Jachut I lurk here daily but seldom post except in response to bowel issues. I am about 3 years out of reversal and still have many problems with bms. I can emphatize with yor experience because fibres, imodiums and everything else did not work. I did not have diarrhea went frequently because of ...

Re: The Daily Enema

I have been doing a daily enema/colonics in the last 3 months. I use tap water and fill an inverted mineral water bottle (1.5ltrs) with base cut off and carry it out in the bathroom seated on the toilet seat. I top up the water when it runs out and continue until my body tells me it is clear. I had ...

Re: Finally got the update done... Hope it makes sense.

Hi Jess Have been lurking at the site, not posting much. Even before your most recent crisis, I have admired your strength and courage in the midst of a very difficult and chaotic diagnosis and terrible symptoms. My heart goes out to you and your family. I will add my prayers to all the others on th...

Re: rectum incontinence

Hi Sudeha Whew! I thought I had it bad. I was diagnosed with rectal cancer August 2008 and recurred in April 2009. Had two rectal surgeries and had a temp ileo for 11 months which was taken down in May 2010. Of course for the first few days I had totally no control and runny stools. That gradually b...

Re: Rectal Cancer.

Hi Janks Sorry for the late reply. I also often wondered if my first surgery and histology had understaged my cancer but truth to tell, the CEA came down to 1.4 after the surgery so I did not really question the surgeon. Of course I had lingering suspicions because I knew I had waited about 8 months...

Re: Rectal Cancer.

Hi I am glad you are emotionally strong and prepared to fight the battle. Perhaps I should give you some details of my condition. I had been bleeding during my bowel movements since January 2008. At first I consoled myself that they were piles but I suspected something more sinister since I did not ...

Re: Rectal Cancer.

Hi Janks23 I have had rectal cancer too. Not once but twice. It was diagnosed in August 2008 and recurred in April 2009. By then it was a stage 4 with lymphatic involvement. I have young children too and it was scary but you have to be strong firstly for yourself and then for the kids. The fear and ...
