Re: New here.....lung and bone mets

Hi Andrea, My Dad lives in the UK and didn't get the tests he needed in a timely fashion - everything was put off and he had to fight and push like crazy to get proper treatment. Keep calling for an appointment or cancellation with the specialist, then push for a colonoscopy and baseline CEA level. ...

Re: Tomudex

Thanks so much, Candy and Lisa! Just trying to do some research and equip my Dad with info to make the best choices for him. I figured if anyone would know it would be someone here. Will keep you updated, and thanks for your responses. :)

Tomudex

Hi, my Dad has stage IV CRC and is unable to take 5FU because of life-threatening neuro and cardiac side effects. He met with his onc today and will start Tomudex after finishing current round of radiation. Has anyone here tried Tomudex? Thank you.

Re: Our Sweet Terry

Terry was such a kind, giving spirit. The first to reach out to me here, she made me feel connected and shared so much of herself and her experiences--and helped not only me but my dad as well. It will not be the same checking out CC and not seeing her posting everywhere! I am grateful for all she g...

Hi Terry,

I have been following your journey via FB. You have been in my prayers and I'm still praying. You have been such an encouragement to me in so many ways--thank you!

Diane, I will add you to my prayers as well.

I am grateful for the support of our CC family!

oxi and skin burning

Hello CC friends! My dad was just diagnosed a few months ago with Stage 2B. He has a colostomy but has leakage in back? His UK docs are stumped. He's started Oxi and 5FU this week (finally) and has pretty intense burning from this leakage. Any suggestions I can give him?

Re: How long did you have symptoms before DX?

The time from my initial symptoms to being diagnosed was seven months.
