Anyone have any experience with Vectibix?

I need some input, I'm going out of my mind. My chemo has failed me. My oncologist sent me to Hopkins to see if I could get into a drug trial program. I have multiple lesions on my liver & lungs & both Fulfox & Fulfuri have failed. I've also used both Avastin & Erbitux. My liver func...

My husband & I thought that it was wrong for them not to tell the children. Our daughter was 8 months old when I received my dx, so she has really only known me as bald & sick, poor kid. She is now 3. A few months ago she finally asked the question, "mommy, why are you sick?" I very carefull...

I used the Magic Mouthwash. It does wear off, but with continued use it heals the sores. I also used a peroxide solution called Glyoxide. There is another product out there called Cank Aid that works the same way. Also, try using toothpaste & mouthwash for dry mouth. I use Biotene. It really hel...

Anyone been to Johns Hopkins??

It seems that my current chemo is not really doing it's job, so my oncologist is sending me to Baltimore to see an oncologist named Daniel Laheru. Anyone here have any experience with him? I hear very good things about him.

My 3 year old daughter is quite popular at my oncologist's office, especially with the nursing staff. She's very outgoing & loves to come along with my dad when he picks me up from chemo. Well, we recently had the discussion about cancer & why mommy is sick. She took it very well, and now sh...

Getting another opinion sounds like a great idea, & I think that if you are able to do it you should. I have stage IV cc, & have been on my 2nd round of chemo now for 13 months. I'm actually feeling pretty good! I've been tolerating treatment very well & I feel that under the circumstanc...

My CEA has been all over the place. My oncologist has said that I am actually one of a small # of his patients that have a reliable CEA count. In other words, it goes up with disease & down with treatment. I really don't remember exactly what my #s were at the time of my DX, but it was something...

Count me in!! I think it's a great idea! I, like Ed, feel that that PA in the summer is great, & we also have Hershey Park!! Money may be a bit of an issue for me, as we are leaving in 3 weeks for our big Disney World trip, but I will do whatever I can to make it work. I think we all need...

Hi there, & welcome! I, unfortunatly, had the same miserable experiance with Xeloda as your friend. :( What coarse is your friend on? Some IV chemo drugs cause diahrea to be really bad when combined with the Xeloda, namely Capmtosar. I had previously been on the 5-FU infusion pump for 46 hours, ...

It's been a really good week!

I finally got some good news this week! Because of my oh-so-busy holiday social calander I opted to skip my full treatment this week.(Caomtpsar & 5-FU... I did have my Erbitux!) I was planning on taking the week of Christmas off, but I have several friends visiting from out of state & I figu...

I shaved my head right away because I was leaving a trail of hair all over the house & it was just easier to deal with. I have a wig, but I really don't wear it. I prefer hate & bandanas.
