Re: News about Anji (Larry's wife)

Oh my goodness. I've thought about Anji a lot over the past few months & hoped she was doing well; I can't even imagine what she's going through! You're right, a horrible, scary irony; and what a sweet, sweet woman. Many positive thoughts & chickens are headed her way. Thanks Bev for letting...

Blake update - he's DONE.....

Hi Friends, I'm an old timer but haven't been actively posting for a while but I visit & read the board often. I can't believe it's almost been 6 years since Blake's stage IV diagnosis and 4-years since his recurrence. At the time of his diagnosis, the 5-year survival was 8% which he has clearly...

Re: 5+ years

Thanks for all your input. I really appreciate it. I feel like I live a life of constant contradiction; one day good, one day bad, one day happy, one day sad. One day he feels like his days are limited, the next he acts like nothings wrong. Sometimes I think our friends think I'm a dramatic - but, t...

Re: 5+ years

Thanks for your help. I'm trying to get an appt with social security to get everything started there as is required by his LTD program. He told work today that he needs to hand over the reigns; it was very sad as nobody ever wanted to believe this day would come. For now he'll go in on days he feels...

5+ years

Hi Friends - old & new. I read daily but haven't been participating for a while - I think I've been trying to ignore the progression, I've been sensing. Anyway, I was hoping someone could direct me to some GOOD info regarding the final stage. Blake just told me tonight that he feels like he's in...

Re: Anyone who has had your port more than 3 years...

Hi Bev, I've been MIA from the board for a while but your post caught my eye. Blake has had his port for over 5 years & it still works like a champ. He's been very particular on who he allows to access it and that's mostly the cancer center for infusion. He's only had a few situations where they...

Re: Lost my wonderful wife to cancer a few months ago

I remember you and it has been a while.....

I'm so very sorry about your loss. Your children are so young, I can't imagine how hard this would be. I'm sure the kids will keep you busy but don't forget to take care of yourself.

Bless you,

Kathy

Re: RixinPhx passed away today

This just breaks my heart. I can't believe we've lost another to this disease.

Rick's input on the board was always so kind & helpful.

I will really miss him.

Holy Cow - Really?

I'm playing catch-up on the board ........ I read daily but haven't had a chance to log in and participate much. I can't believe how many loved ones we've lost lately; so many DH's. Unbelievable and very scary. Blake will celebrate 5-years on Oct. 24th which makes me realize how lucky we've been to ...
