Re: Cyclical Fatigue

I also have CFS and it is cyclical. I think having the chronic stress or fear of cancer coming back is one cause of CFS. Also having a dysfunctional immune system.... chronic stress and chemotherapy could be the cause. I'm so exhausted right now, I can hardly write this. There are three things I try...

Re: Pico-Salax (sodium picosulfate magnesium oxide) -- 3 packets???

Hi I have to have the scope every year, and I find Pico Silax to be the least difficult prep to do. I do follow a low residue diet the day before the prep day, and this year I drank a lot of peppermint tea on prep day. I read that peppermint oil can prevent colon spasms during the procedure. My gast...

Re: Why dietary/lifestyle modifications seem to help some avoid recurrence and not others

There is someone doing research on this. Dr. Kelly Turner PhD has a "Radical Remission Project" going on. Radicalremission.com

Best wishes to everyone in the colon club.

Re: Stage 2b

Hi DnJ, I also had a 2b in my cecum, 4cm long. The pathology of the tumor was the reason my oncologist recommended chemo. It was a mucinous adenocarcinoma, extending into the peri colic adipose tissue. The mucin pools extended to 10 cell widths of the serosal surfaces. There was no vascular involvem...

Lynch Syndrome immune response

I have been curious about the way my immune system has been over reacting, causing psoriasis-like skin lesions. When I took Methotrexate, the skin reaction diminished, along with my lymphocyte count. I came across this hypothesis "the immune system of a host with a mutation in a tumor suppresso...

Re: Anyone (besides me) have an autoimmune disease?

Hashimoto's Thyroiditis here, too. Autoimmune skin condition, maybe psoriasis. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which I don't know if it's autoimmune, but it certainly effects my immune system.

Re: Lynch Syndrome 2013, just diagnosed colon cancer

Hi, I have been learning to cope with this, but it is difficult. The only positive thing I can say is that with the right screening, problems can be caught early and dealt with, hopefully. I found a great amount of good info on Lynch Syndrome International web site. I think you have a lot to deal wi...

Re: Please no more miracle cure talks

I have enjoyed reading this thread, especially liked Vox66 reply. There are so many people out there who have never been faced with cancer, and they think they have all the answeres and advice; drives me crazy. Especially the alkaline diet, why can't they just look up acid base balance on Wikipedia.

Re: Long term survivor

Hi Kiwiinoz.... My dermatologist could not give me a diagnosis other than dermatitis. I thought it was psoriasis, and it certainly responded to MTX. Bev... I have the same feeling about autoimmune disease attacking cancer cells. Could also be a virus mimicking a cell, and causing the immune system t...
