Re: For Stage III's: NED for how long now?

I haven't been on here in years. I am 44 now & am 9 yrs. cured from 3c sigmoid. I had 14+ nodes out of 32. I believe my CEA was 11? This was 11/2007. My kids were 5, 3, & 6 mos...now 15, 13, & 10. I have permanent peripheral neuropathy. They hit me hard at 34 w/ Folfox, (the oxilaplatin)...

Re: Any good "cancer" music out there?

I've been a Christian all of my life, having been raised ELCA (Lutheran)....but am LCMS now. So listening to Christian music comes naturally to me. I can't listen to anything else. Everything else is just depressing. I used to follow everyone from Pixies, Misfits, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, NIN, &a...

Re: Has anyone looked into this clinical trial ?

I would like to think that Erbitux helped me. I was ending chemo when the KRASS was discovered, so my tumor was never tested. But God forbid it comes back again then they can take a tiny slice of my preserved tumor (in NY....almost funny for me to picture this....as we moved from NJ 5 yrs. ago and I...

Re: Anything to worry about? CEA from .4 to 3.2 in 3 mos!

I need to re-attach a bio about myself: 9/05 (to the day) began to notice weird pelvic cramping....still was dealing with many years with IBS (in 7/04 my liver enzymes were elevated just a bit 50's/60's & after many mos. that got better--but Dr. was baffled) ....going back again......spring of 2...

Anything to worry about? CEA from .4 to 3.2 in 3 mos!

Hi everyone! I had been around off and on after I was dx in Nov. 07 and since then I've just been trying to forget about my past STAGEIIIC cc dx! (ha! Like forgetting is possible...) So yesterday, I had my every 3 mo. onc. visit and she told me again that since I am going on 3 yrs. now, I can ["...

Re: Pain in feet

I just want to add again, incase someone feels alone in the foot pain, that you are not alone. As I said above, the numbness in my feet started in towards the end of chemo (best I can remember, maybe it was a bit sooner) and I had a terrible time waking up in the morning and getting out of bed from ...

Re: Pain in feet

Hi...I check the board maybe a few times a month. I really want to be on here more, but I have difficulty emotionally in reading about colon cancer. I guess I am still very much PTSD. So yeah, my feet hurt ALL the time. It never lets up. But it was much worse, pretty much from ending chemo for a sol...
