Nexium and diarrhea?

Has anyone experienced diarrhea that they KNOW is a side effect from Nexium? I'm still in the hospital for my electrolyte counts, and a couple of doctors are trying to figure out the diarrhea thing. One admitted they are grabbing at straws, and their latest theory is that the Nexium is causing my di...

Re: Bradyr 1958 - 2009

Sharon-

I am so sad for you and your family. You lost a truly great family member and husband. I am comforted knowing he is with God now, and cancer is no longer a part of his life.

Dear Father of the colon club, we will miss you.

Got admitted today

As many of you know, I have been receiving daily infusions of either potass, mag, or calcium for about 5 wks. This with the addition of my pneumonia diagnosis made the doc decide I would be safer in the hospital during this extended weekend. My lung doctor, and a kidney doc I have not yet met before...

Something else to add to the list

I just found out today I have pneumonia. I can't believe it.

As if radiation, chemo, and prepping for MD Anderson isn't enough.

At least I don't feel bad. Well, yesterday I did, but I'm much better today.

Has anyone had pneumonia while on chemo?

Thoughts on the Farrah show

I thought I would start a new thread about Farrah's documentary. As always with cancer documentaries, I really enjoyed it. I can identify with her as the stages of her emotional well being seem similar to mine. One thing that bothered me, but I don't know the legalities behind it is that they never ...

Re: Clinical Trial Information

That was me. Here is what I posted: As I stated in a previous post, I visited a clinical trial place in Dallas yesterday. Some of you may know all of this, but it was all new info to me. Here is a link to the facility if you want to check it out: http://www.marycrowley.org/ The one study I don't qua...

Re: Oxali, something in your throat

Found out today that the side effect is likely from the radiation, not Oxali.

Re: Surviving Stage IV

25- I couldn't have said it better myself. I was diagnosed at age 26...almost 3 yrs ago. You have gone through alot more than I have, but we are still in similar boats. You can do all of those things..just not today. Think about those goals, everyday. Sometimes, they are the only thing that gets me ...

Oxali, something in your throat

I started Oxali back after a 2 yr break. Had 2nd infusion on Friday. I don't remember this side effect..has anyone had it? It feels like a pill is stuck in my throat. Started Friday evening. I haven't been drinking anything cold. It is not too terribly uncomfortable, just weird and I want it to go a...

Got in to MD Anderson!

After trying to work around my radiation schedule, I am going down to H-town on June 5th!! I could have gotten in sooner, but we felt like it was best if I finished radiation first, and not interrupt it. They said they want me to hang out down there for 2 wks, to run test and such. Will they really ...

sloan kettering

Good Evening- Is anyone on this board going to sloan kettering? I am in the process of getting into MD Anderson, and my dear sister seems to think that I need to go to sloan kettering...because they will cure me. My sister is 26, and knows the least about my cancer journey out of my family. She has ...
