Re: Night before chemo. Thinking of giving up...

Jason - my husband had 5fu w/oxaliplatin and avastin. Golf was not a problem for him; actually I think it's the thing that kept him going. He wanted to stay active and walking the golf course was a way for him to do that. I remember dropping him off at the course after he had his infusions. I though...

Another story of HOPE

I don't post anymore but I still check in every once and a while. I read Amy's post and thought it was amazing and awesome at the same time. Instead of taking the focus off of her beautiful story, I thought I'd just add another bit of hope b/c I know how important it is for people to know (especiall...

Re: Hello from Arizona Newbie and Questions

Dear Meta, My heart fell when I read that your dear husband Karl died in a car accident and that your daughter has gone through so much medically having been in the car. I can only imagine what she is going through psychologically. I am so very sorry for your loss and for everything that you have ha...

Re: do I really want to know...

Thanks Delinda :) I may take you up on the offer to hogtie him!! Bev's response did make me feel better as it made sense to me too. I guess our docs reaction to feeling the nodes is what got me all worked up. He normally is very casual with us since the last 6 years have been good. He immediately we...

Re: do I really want to know...

Thanks Andre! That blurb from the article was very timely for sure! Thanks for including it. They are not fixed although the doctor did mention he thought there were a couple of them stuck together on the one side. They are not painful unless you poke at them to answer Bev's question. So I guess it'...

do I really want to know...

I haven't posted much lately, I actually thought I could take a break for a while although I find myself here almost every day. I struggle with depression at times and it's been so sad here lately. I'm so sorry to those who have lost loved ones, kathleen808, trapbear, exaussie, just to name the ones...

Re: Husbands Supporting Their Wives

I'm so sorry Bob. I hope things start to improve quickly. You both deserve a break from all this. All the different opinions must be driving you insane! Not that she needs another med but is your wife taking anything for the anxiety? I'm thinking the worry and stress she is going through is not help...

Re: Seeking Honest Feedback

When my husband was diagnosed we were both 50 and everyone wanted me to go get scoped and I played the same scenerios in my head as you. What happens to my sons if we both have cancer? Who will take care of Andy... Me? I didn't go that year - I waited until 2 years out. I was fortunate as I don't ha...

Re: tired of peoples crap!

Agree with CR. How does that person know cancer is winning? I'd tell that person, "sorry to hear your sanity is losing." :D I agree with CR and ANDRE!! Even if you don't know what to say, you have to be an idiot to think that saying "I'm sorry to hear cancer is winning." is a co...
