What is going on with my colon, and bm colors?

Hi Everybody, I've been mostly lurking here, and feeling like I was doing well. Let me tell you, it's such a nice feeling to feel like you are recovering. Then, the feeling of fear creeps back...no, wait.....jumps upon me, and puts me back at the beginning of the "cancer sucks" trail. Okay...

Re: Write Darlin's - Write

Ok, you caught my attention. A breast-cancer friend insisted I write a book a little over a year ago and sadly passed away before she could get me my "connection" she had promised. I've been floundering since then, not knowing what to do. Can you tell me more? (Please oh please tell me mor...

Re: Justsing's voice

This was wonderful. I've gotten to know a number of you, but this lovely woman really reached out of the computer, grabbed my shoulders and shook them as hard as she could. She knocked some life into me.

I was heartbroken to know she was gone. a :(

Re: 3 yr survivor, experiencing ongoing leg pain

Each response is a very logical one, but I wanted to add my own experience. I asked this very same question to my docs for a year. I was told I hurt my knee while exercising, and was told to wear a brace. I had a gallbladder/diastasis recti/hernia repair surgery in November. Just 2 days before surge...

Re: I have boobs. I'm aware of breast cancer.

My boobs were nothing but a pain in my a** from the moment they sprouted in 4th grade (and had the honor of being the first girl to wear a bra in the class).

Now my a** is a pain in my a**. Ironic.

Changes, Changes, Changes and more doctor time

So I had posted a few weeks ago about suddenly getting thinner stool. Since then, I am noticing mucus, mucus, MUCUS!!!!!!!!!! Today, I had a teensy BM, I wiped, and when I peeked in the toilet (as I disgustingly do nowadays), I was horrified to see what looked like a dark WORM floating in the bowl b...

Re: I have boobs. I'm aware of breast cancer.

There's always something to fight, isn't there? :sigh : Oh, if that isn't the truth, sister! I'm so torn on crc awareness. I am almost grateful when I am introduced as "the one with the three cancers." People usually say, "Oh, really?? Which ones? (as we all know, this is the usual a...

Re: I have boobs. I'm aware of breast cancer.

Agreed. I hope it didn't sound like I was opposed to funding for a cure. I'm really just opposed to the clutter caused by the zillions of "campaigns" that really have nothing to do with funding for a cure, or awareness. As I said above, this kind of stuff detracts from all cancer research...

Re: I have boobs. I'm aware of breast cancer.

I am a breast cancer survivor (since September 2005). Most of the people in the bc community HATE the phrase, "breast cancer awareness." What good does that do? People think that by purchasing a pink chip clip and a pink feather-topped pen they are helping their aunt/mother/sister/wife etc...

Re: Do I have a polyp? Again?!

Jaynee, thank you so much for the great response. I knew if I asked everybody here, I'd get an answer that would calm me down. What would you reccomend I eat? I totally resent that I have to watch my green veggies, and I wondered if that had any part in this issue (basically eating bread and pasta)....

Re: Blood clot after most recent surgery-was already there?

I am truly grateful for you guys. I knew you'd make me feel a lot better, and much more in control! Today's grateful goal? To get through my onc/hematology appointment without allowing fear to take over my ability to ask questions. That is going to be all! I will only focus on my hubby and son other...

Re: Blood clot after most recent surgery-was already there?

Thanks so much for both replies. I really like coming here because I can get the support I need, and I also get that support by means of honest and caring answers. First, as I re-read my sleepy message, I saw that I had a few glitches in my post. Sorry about that! I should know better than to post w...
