Re: How long did you have symptoms before DX?

I had a baby at 40 on Christmas day 2006. 4 to 6 months later I had some bleeding here or there when I would wipe. I called my OBGYN office and they said it was hemorrhoids and not to worry. A year or so later I went to my basic internist because I had a sinus infection. My best friend told me I nee...

Re: Tough Decisions (Easily Made)

I totally understand where you are coming from. I was rush in to the first surgeon and was told I needed to have to surgery in less than a week. I didn't like him or his bed side manner. I felt the pressure to just do the first thing I was told. I found this board and did my research and got a secon...

Re: Burning around stoma

You changed your name? Beach now Bay....' You are using a wafer. It's the round shape piece you put on over your stoma. I had to use the ConvaTec Moldable Convex Wafers. I like these because no cutting and I got a better fit. You can call ConvaTec toll free 1-800-422-8811 and ask for free samples. I...

Re: Burning around stoma

Make sure you are crusting well with powder on the burning area.Make sure the area is very dry before you put on the wafer. Are you using paste? I would crust well over the burned area and then put the paste directly on skin then put wafer on. You might need a ekin seal in stead of paste? Is it itch...
