That's great. Good luck with your treatment!

Re: Reducing Oxaliplatin

When I started getting neuropathy I immediately told my onc. He reduced my dosage and I didn't think about that as negative in any way. You doctor is the one that has studied the dosage and seen the effects of it over and over in other patients (along with the effectiveness at fighting the cancer). ...

Re: Just got diagnosed - advice appreciated

Thanks Michelle. Yeah, I think the last few days I’ve calmed down a bit in thinking I have to basically turn vegan if I want to live. Dr google was starting to stress me out. It wasn’t until I started reading people’s stories on this form that I started having hope that there is a fighting chance, ...

Re: For Stage III's: NED for how long now?

I’ve got my three year scans coming in early July. Haven’t thought about cancer too much in a while (a great thing) but you everyone here knows how scan time goes. I was diagnosed March 2017, had a path complete response, surgery, and my last all clear (blood and physical exam only) last December. ...

Re: New to the club we never wanted to join...

How much stock should I put in survival rates, given that they mostly refer to older patients and my husband is young and healthy? None! I caused myself so much anguish and worry when I was where he is at by looking at statistics. Like you said, the average age of getting CRC is much, much higher t...

It could be completely a placebo but I got advice on here to swish apple juice in my mouth before eating. I remember I kept doing it. Here's the thread:

Re: Prep Question...

Haven't used Suprep but what you're doing is called a "split dose prep" and it's pretty common. It dies down after a few hours so I'm never up all night but it's still awful because they make me do the second dose at 2am. I don't get a lot of sleep that night.

Re: Diagnosed with colon cancer

The worst news I've ever heard this week is that I'm diagnosed with colon cancer. I got my biopsy results last week and the doctor said that I'm diagnosed with colon cancer. I'm just stunned that I've got this disease even after following a healthy style. I don't know what to expect after hearing t...

Re: Two days prep

I cannot even fathom doing a golitley prep two days in a row (or fathom why it would be needed). I'm gagging just thinking about the taste of it. The easiest I have ever had..... What my GI doc has me do is the following: Day 1 you can eat a low residue breakfast and even a light low residue lunch -...

Re: Please help, input needed

Sorry you're going through this. I did the exact same thing you did and upset myself horribly by what I found on Google. You have to remember that much of those stats are for people that are much older than you who get CC. What I predicted would go wrong didn't happen (and I upset myself over terrib...
