Re: Prep Question...

Haven't used Suprep but what you're doing is called a "split dose prep" and it's pretty common. It dies down after a few hours so I'm never up all night but it's still awful because they make me do the second dose at 2am. I don't get a lot of sleep that night.

Re: Diagnosed with colon cancer

The worst news I've ever heard this week is that I'm diagnosed with colon cancer. I got my biopsy results last week and the doctor said that I'm diagnosed with colon cancer. I'm just stunned that I've got this disease even after following a healthy style. I don't know what to expect after hearing t...

Re: Two days prep

I cannot even fathom doing a golitley prep two days in a row (or fathom why it would be needed). I'm gagging just thinking about the taste of it. The easiest I have ever had..... What my GI doc has me do is the following: Day 1 you can eat a low residue breakfast and even a light low residue lunch -...

Re: Please help, input needed

Sorry you're going through this. I did the exact same thing you did and upset myself horribly by what I found on Google. You have to remember that much of those stats are for people that are much older than you who get CC. What I predicted would go wrong didn't happen (and I upset myself over terrib...

Re: Phuong is the new ColonClub President !

My eye tends to jump down past the stickies so I completely missed this. I can't think of a better choice. Congratulations!!! We are in the process of making some very exciting (but currently behind the scenes) changes to our website, so please hang tight. I promise that when we are ready for the re...

Re: Exercise

Nice! My (sedentary) friends thought that I was nuts for hitting the gym during chemo but it was a great stress reliever for me.

Re: Airline experiences?

Flying with points is far and away the most flexible option. If you have top tier status you can cancel minutes before the flight and get all your mileage back! That's good to know! I don't have status with any airlines. I just earn Chase UR points through my organic spend and transfer them to what...

Re: Airline experiences?

I don't know about the International part but Southwest is incredibly flexible. They don't care if you cancel up to ten minutes before the flight. You could use them for the Chicago to New York part. I love flying with points but this always is in the back of my head. I don't know what happens if yo...

It really sucks but it got better from me the further I got from the end of my treatment. When I was where you're at the wait was unbearable.

Re: 10 Years and Counting

I understand where you are coming from with the survivor's guilt but I hope that it passes. Because you were a survivor you were able to help a lot of people. I don't even know if you remember me but you're one of the people I really looked up to you as a mentor when I was going through my treatment...

Re: Quick intro -- diagnosed Friday

Just wanted to give an update. Been doing chemo, on my third round of Xelox (Capox). Side effects are mostly just really annoying, my body seems to be tolerating everything well. Nausea and I'm not interested in any food practically (but i'm eating). Completely not myself, low energy, out of it, bu...
