Re: Ashlees post on ending treatment right on for me.

You see guys, I I don't seem to be filled with cancer to the point beyond help from chemo. Here's my big decision to make. I used to be 200 lbs and very healthy. Now I'm 127 and as frail as a church mouse. This makes that very decision we are all talking about so revelent to so many of us. I'm actua...

Starting second round of chemo and I'm scared.

I was feeling fantastic until mid June. My cea went up and they found a met to the spine. We got that treated and my health has been going down hill since. I'm weak and I have lost some more weight. I'm very afraid of going for chemo again. I'm afraid its going to make me worse. Anyone been there? T...

Re: Not sure how I got here from where i was 2 months ago si

Quick update
I have not felt the level of care at the cancer center has been as good as I have had in the past.
I'm going to the University of Michigan Hospital Cancer Center on the 30th for a second opinion.
Updates to follow.

Thanks for the support, kind words, and good advice.

Not sure how I got here from where i was 2 months ago signet

Hi everybody. Well its been strange journey. They found 4 spots on my vertebre about 6weeks ago because my cea was up. We did radiate those spots and the pain is gone from that area. For the last four weeks my health has gone down hill. I have lost a lot of weight, my pain level from my muscles and ...

Re: Budwig diet

I do the Budwig diet. My aunt had stage 4 Brest cancer and chose this over chemo. She's 10 years Ned. She works the diet to the letter. I have had a local met to my t12 vertebrae but I didn't work the diet to the letter. I'm going to work it to the letter from here on out. One thing I can say for su...

I'm in the same boat as Jans daughter Lauren and I agree.

your oncologist doesn't know how long you have.
he is only speaking in statistics and ill be darn if I'm going to be a statistic.

Re: Signet Ring Cell Folk

Maria,
I would not be afraid to seek a second opinion.
There could be options your onc may not have considered or maybe it will put your mind at ease knowing he is doing all the right things.

My signet friends. CEA was rising...PET scan says...

A small, almost not visible spot on my T-12 vertebrae. They are going to do an MRI to confirm, then it looks like some radiation. Not sure about chemo yet as the PET looked clean. They had to bring in a second opinion to find the spot on my back. She didn't seem too eager to rush me back to chemo. W...

Re: CEA Jumped and really surprised me.

I will follow that advice, thank you.

It just seems like a big jump in such a short time.
Of course I want to believe the test is not accurate.

CEA Jumped and really surprised me.

I had my regular check up at the Oncologist today and she informed me my CEA was at 61. I said "what?" I was shocked and horrified all at the same time. My heart sank to the floor. I have been feeling great! Taking good care of myself, eating right etc. Threw out my back 6 weeks ago but ot...
