Re: Prep - Movieprep vs halfgolitely

Just to clarify, I believe you're confusing the spelling of two different products. There's Golyetly and Halflyetly. I've never had the former, though I hear it's kind of rough. I've had both and neither one is fun. They're both the same, just one is half less. I once told a nurse who was schedulin...

Re: Does time play on your mind?

I don't know if it's "time" that plays on my mind, but rather just the reality of having been diagnosed with cancer of any kind. I was DX'd stage one and surgically cured 4 years ago, but have had several "scares" since then. Every little twinge gets me to stop and wonder "H...

Re: Happy Birthday to Me!

I'm now thinking that a lot of my discomfort over the past few days, was not only gas and where the surgeon removed the polyp, but also a rather nasty case of constipation. I feel quite a bit better now that things have "started moving" again. I am on bentyl, which has helped some. What co...

Re: Happy Birthday to Me!

No, the gorilla didn't get any cake. But, I opened my lunch box tonight and there's a banana in it. Weird, huh? I spent all day in bed, still feel run down and slightly wurpy. Got up just in time to go to work. The work isn't hard, but it's very active. Over the past several months, I've found that ...

Re: Happy Birthday to Me!

I've been "NED" since my resection August 21st, 2006, but have had several "scares" since. This one has my attention more than any other though. I'm halfway through my night at work. I think I'll make it the rest of the way, but I'm not going to overdue it, if I start feeling wor...

Re: Happy Birthday to Me!

Having the colonoscopy is old hat for me. But right now, I'm experiencing much more discomfort than I ever have before. Any idea what's up? I'm sore enough that I may leave work early tonight.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Yesterday, January 25th, was my birthday. To celebrate, I had a colonoscopy. (Do I know how to celebrate, or what?) This, combined with the CT scan(It showed everything was normal) I had a couple of weeks ago, are the latest attempts to find the source of the abdominal pain I've been having for the ...

Happy 3rd anniversary to me!

From my blog, http://www.meissnershockeyblog.blogspot.com : Today, August 21st, 2009, is the third anniversary of my surgical cure from stage one colon cancer. My story: In the fall of 2005, I started feeling "oogily." Repeated doctor visits, test, hospital trips, yielded nothing more than...

I feel the same way. Too bad we live on opposite sides of the state. (We live in Palm Harbor.) Our library has Mother Goose rhymes every Tuesday. I'm not sure who has more fun, me or Jimmy! You would enjoy it.

Re: A glimpe at a "normal" life, an amazing day!

Thanks jmarie. My situation is different from most people here, in that my cancer was caught very early and I was cured surgically, with no subsquent chemo or any such treatment that so many here have had to endure. However, most days I still think about cancer, what it's done to my family and what ...
