Re: Four year anniversay

Congratulations. It appears that I am 1 day behind you! It doesn't seem like 4 years went by - Where did the time go?

Here's to many more anniversaries - Cheers!

Re: Almost 5 years since the word CANCER

Congratulations on 5 years! I agree that new members (and old) are helped by these updates. Thank you.

I am at my 4 year mark - next week will be the surgery anniversary.

Cheers and may you have many more cancerversaries.

Re: 4 year Cancerversary!

Thank you guys. Cynthia, During surgery metastasis was found in the rectum and removed. I know it seems like the Colon and Rectum are the same organ, but the tumor board sees it as 2 organs. One good thing is that I never actually asked while going through chemo treatment what the "Stage" ...

Re: Poor edit button on final chapter

Connie, I am sorry for your loss today. Any age is too young, but 33 is even more so. I don't know how to help you handle the final chapter with your family. My family seems to have lost all memory of me even having cancer within the first few months after surgery. So I don't discuss it. Good or bad...

4 year Cancerversary!

Hi everyone, 4 years ago today I woke up from my colonoscopy to my Gastro Dr telling me that I had a large tumor and that it was cancer. He could not finish the scope because of the tumor blocking the way. He was as surprised as I was. I went to him thinking I had appendicitis. He said he was sure t...

Re: Medical marijuana

IgotLucky, I am in the middle of my Colonoscopy prep (Thursday), so I only briefly read your post. I will try to re-read later. I am certain that insurance will not cover it. It can be expensive, but you probably need very little anyway. Also, there are some dispensaries and individuals that will he...

Re: 23 years old.. possible colon cancer, need help!

Jay, Go see a GI Dr. and get a colonoscopy. If that Dr does not agree, find another Dr. who will. Colon Cancer is not only for the 50+ crowd. I had symptoms for years and was told 3 different things before finally getting a colonoscopy and the tumor was found. I was in my early 20 when I started hav...

Re: My sweet Wayne is very critcal!

Becky,
I am so sorry this is happening to your family.
I hope that your church family can be there for you, and that other family members will be there soon.
Just be there with Wayne and comfort him, you will find the strength.

I hate this disease and what it does.

Re: New to Marijuana

Julie, I too was over 40 when I first tried it. 41 actually. I had never used any drug (recreational) or even smoked a cigarette in my life. Please do not smoke joints. Use a Vaporizer (Vapor Brothers) or try edibles and drinks. You do not need to be putting fire in your lungs - especially if you we...

Sorry to hear that Lauren is having problems.
Hopefully she will be better after Hydration.
Maybe there is a CC member living near her that can stop by sometime?
Where do you/she live?
