Re: The Bucket List

I will admit that for many of us this may hit too close to home. But I don't know if you have ever heard Tim McGraws song "Live Like You Were Dying." It's about the things his dad Tug McGraw either wanted to do or did once he found out he was terminal. (Great song brought tears to my eyes....

Apricot seeds are the source for Laetril it didn't work in the 70's when I was in pharmacy college and it dosen't work today. Your mom would be much better off with conventional chemo.

I am a pharmacist and I know that taking a laxative like Metamucil seems wrong for treating diarrhea but it is not uncommon. The fiber in products like metamucil help bind the stool together to make a better formed stool. I also see that you are eating yogurt I must ask if you are eating yogurt with...

I just had a sessil polyp removed on Feb 13th guess I am just unlucky. I must admit mine only looked like a bump on the colon wall, not much to look at. But then I think about the tumor I had removed 3 years ago and I can see how that little bump could evolve into that ugly tumor (it was similar in ...

I was also 50 when mine was discovered. My mom was well into her 60's. The graph of all the replies is kind of scary since the bulk of the cancers that everyone here has shows that the diagnoisis was made much earlier. Maybe the screening age should be be lowered to 35 or 40. I just worry about my s...

My wife had a liver biopsy. I guess a bone biopsy would be similar. The needle was about 8-10 inches long! Basically they stab you with it and even with the area "Numbed" she still was in great pain. I can only guess
that the bone marrow biopsy would hurt even more.

I think I heard that Susan Komen Race for the cure had someone who was willing to put up a substantial amount of money and had some political connections. This is what is needed to start the program for us. My employer is very big into the pink thing... Ironically the only dept that is not pink is m...

Don't be surprised to find your blood pressure may be elevated before your first scope or scan after your diagnosis and or surgery. I thought I was cool, calm & collected before mine but my BP was something like 240 over 180... Stroke territory. Luckily the nurse that was prepping me was a breas...

Great site with a more important message.
There is a link to a C3 site to write to your congressman to help get funding. I would encourage all of us to use our voice and send this letter
testing is of the utmost importance as all of us know. Thanks

For gas use simethicone sold as Mylanta gas, Gas X etc of course your names may be different in Jolly Old England but simethicone is what you should try. As for the regularity problems try using yogurt with active cultures, sometimes after surgery the antibiotics wipe out the normal flora of the int...

Finally I have seen proof of what I already know. There have been a few others who have asked about problems with ED. My surgeon never mentioned that this could be a problem. Of course even if he did I still had to have the resection. I was wondering if the results were better with the laproscopic r...
