Re: Daddy daughter dance

Thanks so much for letting me share my moment with you. My husband was stage 3, perforated through colon wall and encapsulated with 4 out of 33 lymph nodes. We went onto genetic testing at Sloan and though he tested negative for lynch syndrome they screen him as he is positive because he most likely...

Re: New to the club

Hey there, welcome to the club. You sound so familiar to me, maybe because 4years ago I was you. We had three children 6months, 4 and 6 were 35 and boom colon cancer stage 3. I cried a lot. My kids seemed to be young enough to shelter from the full impact of the situation and like others have said h...

Re: Obama-Care is "in the House !"

What a great debate, so many are afraid to really talk about the issues in front of us and it is good to see/read. I for one support the reform bill but as a RN in the system recognize no matter what system is in place there is abuse and fraud, unfortunately. Making incentives to avoid fraud and hav...

Re: Survivors and Their Stories

Love it, I think I need to go back and re-read all of Dr Seuss. You are such a good advocate for yourself and teacher to others, it is no surprise you do it for a living! Thank you for giving me another story to share with friends and family of the strength and character that shows up here on the co...

Re: I've never had a pet scan...

My husband in the same boat...three years out and CT scan every 6 months, ultrasounds of kidneys, blood work, colonoscopy. I have asked about the PET scans and what was told to me from two MD including Sloan Kettering was that they only did PET if they suspected an area or an increase of a CEA or bo...

Re: Paul Update PART TWO ...... FYI....Not good news

I have found so much inspiration in your story, your life, your marriage. I admire all that the two of you are, a beautiful family and there are not enough of them in the world. His illness does not take any of that away from you. Of course as a mom I will say a prayer for your two little boys. Our ...

Re: candidates stance on health

Would he be willing to run???? I am sorry if I am heated on the topic. I would love to hear a break down of the issues from the other side but if no one is interested I will find it else where no big deal. We are a huge debating political family from both sides of the ticket, I forget not everyone i...

Re: candidates stance on health

I guess I am going to delete my two posts as well, I feel passionately about the topic but this does not appear to be the forum to discuss them......... As a RN I really hope everyone looks into the true problems facing this country and where the candidates stand so they can make informed decisions.
