Re: Colon Mass Pain subsided

Hi and welcome, By the shear fact you ended up in the ER with pain, I would definitely follow up and find out why. Me personally, I had no pain. Please get that colonoscopy, your life is more important than an assumption. I can't tell you if you have cancer or not, only that colonoscopy will give yo...

Re: Sadness (sorry for the blues)

(((Paola))) I am so sorry you are having to deal with this cancer. I am also so very sorry to hear about your brother and mom. You and your family have had a lot of hard ships in recent years. Something tells me your mother and your brother would want you to live and to beat this cancer. Please keep...

Re: Stage II but puzzle with the chemo.. : (

. . . We read stories about patients who have chemo for other kinds of cancers or we see things on television that portray cancer patients as super ill, very thin and overall they look awful. When I was first diagnosed, I assumed that I would somehow turn into this stick figure person....super thin...

I've gotta work on that. I live in Arizona, brown boring countryside. Maybe I can show you how I spend my New Year's Eve. Tell me again how to post a pic here.

Hi and welcome, sorry for the reason you are here. For what it's worth, I'm coming up on 15 yrs as a stage IIIC survivor. Kno...

Re: Stage II but puzzle with the chemo.. : (

Now, we are waiting for Oncologist consultation for further advise. May I also hear your valuable comments ..? Hi and welcome, sorry for the reason you are here. Good that you are getting input from the Onc. Stage II is such a grey area. Generally penetration of the tumor will determine whether che...

So sorry for what you are going through, I feel your pain. We lost 2 pets last yrs. My dog, my son's cat. I suspect we will lose our other cat this year. It's hard when they get old. They are family.

Gentle hugs to you and your dog!

Re: Delaying treatment?

I am sorry I do not have an answer for you. You really need to rely on the experts regarding your situation. If this helps, when I was diagnosed (almost 15 yrs ago), a good friend"s niece was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer, a few months after giving birth to her first child (she had issue...

Re: Colonoscopy report question

. . . Any suggestions as to why I should ask at my follow up appointment are appreciated. By the way, I am 41 and had a clear colonoscopy 5 years ago to check as part of a workup to rule out celiac. Ask why the GI doc did what s/he did ? Why was it that s/he was NOT able to get a specimens of the s...

Re: Colonoscopy report question

I am not a doctor so anything I say is coming from a very non medical person. The best advice I can give you, get a 2nd opinion from another GI doc (or colon rectal surgeon) on the procedure that was done to you. Maybe this is a normal procedure, butt it's new to me. Hopefully someone with more expe...

Re: symptoms of colon cancer

So sorry you are going through this. A colonoscopy will give you a true diagnoses, anything else is just a speculation. I'm not sure how good the cologuard is. I do hear the words "for those with average risk" on the TV commercials, since your dad passed away from colon cancer, that might ...

..., passed a little gas and then felt an urge and the floodwaters opened up.. . . Passing even a bit of gas during a blockage, is music to my ears. For me, that means the blockages has mostly resolved/cleared itself. Generally the next day, my stomach feels like it's been through a meat grinder, B...
