Re: Scan anxiety

It sounds like you're having a good response to chemo. Take it one day at a time. I wish you well and many more years with your baby boy.

Bev G

I just read on facebook that BevG passed away this week. I don't know any details. It makes me very sad that such a special person was taken from our world too soon again. This is a huge loss for our community. Maybe folks who know more about this will chime in. My condolences and best wishes to her...

Excellent summary, ozziej. Thank you for getting that all down in writing. This will be a great help to many.

Re: Low Anterior Resection Syndrome: Do you have it?

I'm confused as to what you mean when you say "solutions." Doing a warm water enema could not be easier. It's simply filling an enema bag that you'd buy on amazon or at a drug store with warm tap water. There are instruction on the box and all over the internet including this forum. http:/...

Re: Low Anterior Resection Syndrome: Do you have it?

There are so many great threads on this forum detailing everything you would want to know. There is also an informative, supportive LARS board on Facebook.

Re: Low Anterior Resection Syndrome: Do you have it?

Another non surgical option is a daily warm water enema. It's probably what the professionals would suggest.

Re: Low Anterior Resection Syndrome: Do you have it?

Phillypatient, I'm not sure if you're on facebook, but there's an extremely supportive and helpful group on there for LARS. Just type Living with Low Anterior Resection Syndrome in the search bar. Lots of great information and solutions on there for us. The most "popular" solution seems to...

Re: Can benign lung nodules shrink?

Sure, they certainly can. Sometimes they are part of an infection which goes away and shrinks as it does so. Sometimes it's just debris that gradually disappears. I've had a few lung mets and I also have a TB-like infection in my lungs. I have scarring from surgeries, SBRT, colds etc that gets bette...

Re: Stoma Reversal or Not

I loved NWGirl. I miss her. I'm eleven years out from an ileostomy reversal and I still think about going back to the bag almost every day. It has not been an easy adjustment from the bag. I have bouts of constipation that end in episodes of "clustering" bowel movements that go on for days...

Re: Ileostomy reversal experience?

I hate to be Debbie Downer  but I agree with you. If she's doing well with the ostomy maybe she would be better off keeping it. Since she's 78 I could see her having trouble with recovery. The surgery itself isn't that bad. It's the time afterwards that can very tough to deal with. I got rever...

Re: The Daily Enema

Hi. I'm not sure who you've emailed but this is a really old thread. You can put enema in the search box on this forum and you will get LOTS of great helpful information. There's also a private group on facebook for LARS sufferers. I always found this to be a really helpful thread. http://coloncance...
