Re: UP-DATE ON KATHRYN FINN-BLUME

Prayers for you and your family, Katherine. You are such a warrior - during treatment, if I ever thought I wasn't handling it very well, I would read your Caring Bridge page & think "well, dang, I'm a big wimp next to this woman!". You deserve to be pain free, hunger-free, and regret-f...

Swinging chickens for Thomas from GA! (I'm so glad to hear he's not in pain!).

I'll be swinging extra hard tomorrow morning.

Add to the changes the amount of TI you can defer by putting $ if a flexible spending account is decreased down to $2500.

Re: Need some help - dh colostomy keeps failing

Hi Christi. I feel his pain -- my resection was an emergency one as well, so they were not able to plan as well where my ostomy would go (they marked me for an ileostomy), so mine is in the crease as well. As far as products, it truly is a trial & error process, so he has to keep figuring out wo...

Re: little girl's cancer cured from HIV virus!

I heard an interview with a Dr on the radio today about this. He was very excited about it & said that it had been a long time since he had been excited about a possibility that showed as much promise as this. OMG -- I hope & pray he's right. How amazing would that be? He was talking about b...

Oh Angie, I'm so sorry. I am glad that your dad got to see how well you were doing in school, and I'm sure he is very, very proud of you. I'll be thinking of you & your family in the difficult days ahead.

Re: Final Update

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine what you're going through, and 4 young children would be extremely difficult for anyone. I hope you have a great support system to help, and I'll be praying for you & those precious children. Your story is just heartbreaking & I'm so, so sorry!

Re: Our beautiful llona

This is just so sad. Ilona never ceased to amaze me with how TOUGH such a nice, sweet person could be. She seemed all sugar & spice, yet she gave cancer more heck than anything I've ever seen.

Her spunk & thoughtfulness will be greatly missed & my prayers are with her family.

Re: 2.5 months post reversal

Hi Lad143, I'm really glad your husband has had such a successful resection! I think that's one of the easier-transition stories I've read regarding a reversal. I cant even remember how I stumbled upon an article about this product years back (and it only stuck in my head due to an old college prank...

Re: How to reconcile fight for life with suicide attempt?

Wow, I'm so sorry you're going through all this at once. I agree with Sammy. You'll never be able to rationalize it & you'll never be able to convince her to see it through your eyes. Your daughter is sick. She has a mental disease that needs to be treated just as your husband's physical disease...

Re: Offended by colon cancer article in Wikipedia

I'm curious to know what these "dietary chemopreventative agents" are. Are they just referring to fruits & vegetables? Seems like a complex way to say that!

Re: A toast to Lauren - who in

We're in! We're at home this Thanksgiving, so that's only 4 more. Too bad we didn't travel to my mom's family's Thanksgiving like we usually do -- last year, there was 130 people there! But, 4 more are in from Georgia! 130 people. WOW! Who did all that cooking? :D Potluck. That's how we do ...
