Hi Bpaint,
I sent you an email because I too have just been accepted for compassionate use of Bot/Bal. I was hoping we could share experiences.

Hi J&K...I too have followed your journey with interest. I'm not sure when I joined colontalk, but I'm a long-timer like you, having been diagnosed in 2008. I am sending you all my best wishes that there is another plan in place for you. xoxox

Re: Does anyone have experience with Englewood Hospital in NJ?

Sorry to be late to this discussion...you've probably made your decision. I aslo live in New Jersey. I go to see my MSKCC doc in NYC quarterly, and get treatment at the local MSKCC (Monmouoth). i've been to the others in NJ at different times. I hop you got a consult at MSK. With that info, you can ...

Re: No longer NED- back in right ovary

Hello...I had a met to one ovary in 2010. I then had both ovaries removed, not a complete hysterectomy. Because my ovary had burst between diagnosis and surgery, I decided to pursue HIPEC. But I didn't do systemic chemo at that time. It was almost 5 years before I had to have systemic chemo for lung...

Re: Update (9 months post surgery) (6 months post chemo)

Congratulations on all your good results and especially on the birth of you beautiful son!!! If you feel your port is burdensome on any level, whether it's the expense or the reminder, then just get it removed. God forbid you need it again, it can just be inserted again, no big deal. Live your life ...

Re: Nuelasta Injector

Thanks for your insight. I will ask about the possibility of giving myself the Nuelasta shot. They could possibly fill it at the pharmacy while I’m in the chair. I usually take the shot in the stomach, because my arms bruise so easily. I go to MSKCC Monmouth for treatment and see my doctor in NY eve...

Nuelasta Injector

Hi guys...I am due for a Folfiri & Avastin treatment on Monday. The usual plan is that I go back for disconnect on Wednesday for disconnect and also get a Nuelasta shot at that time. Years ago, when I was receiving treatment at a different facility, I would go back for disconnect on the given da...

Re: Stage 4 for 4 years, looking for advice

Hi Michelle...I am a patient at MSKCC and when a lung met showed up a few years after my original Stage 3 diagnosis, my doc did not recommend chemo after VATS. And I was good with that. I've been dealing with cancer for almost 12 years now, and I am so glad that my doc only recommends chemo at times...

Re: 10 Years and Counting

Hi SF! So great for you to check in and give inspiration to others. It was due to your story that I pursued HIPEC and for that, I will always be grateful. I'm here 11 years after my diagnosis, and this place is/was such an amazing source of information. I have have had various treatments and surgeri...
