If the doctor can affirm the mass is benign a colonosopcy would probaby be overkill unless the bleeding persists after treatment.

Ritu, Our best friend's father (who was then in his late 60's) was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer 6 years ago and was told he was inoperable. Had my blood tests today... Really scared about the results... All that seems to be swimming in my mind is that my symptoms match Cancer etc, but I guess I can't do anything about it either way for now. They took my blood and told me to come back in a week but that if any problems they will call me...

I figure more time means more options. I' Like Lifes2short said--you'll always be able to find a surgeon who's willing to cut; it's what they do. But just because something can be done doesn't mean that it will not compromise quality of life beyond worth. That's a pretty jaded view to hold. I think...
