Re: Who are the longest stage 4 survivor's on here?

Stage 4 diagnosed September of 2007. Multiple mets to lungs after multiple VATS surgeries, on Avastin and Xeloda for three years and have minimal disease in one lung. So, it's going on eight years for me.

Re: Xeloda side effects

When I started xeloda again, I had horrible, horrible nausea...no vomiting though. I tried every pill my onc, np, pa suggested among other things. I started taking nexium that I had for occasional heartburn, thinking it could be an ulcer or some sort of stomach irritation. That did not help either b...

Re: I Think it was the Breathing Tube

HI Eric, I haven't been around lately. A lot going on in my life. Scans are good, nothing lights up on my PET/CTs anymore so we are just doing CTs. I am back to work and feeling pretty good. I ache a little and am very fatigued but am doing good. Knock on wood! I hope the RFA and little more chemo g...

Re: I'm going to be a grandma!!

I am so happy for you Guinevere. What wonderful news!! CRguy, you are absolutely right!! Some people just don't get it. My best friend moved from NY to UT because she couldn't live in a beautiful house in NY and in UT it was affordable. She lost her business here and couldn't live the lifestyle she ...

What a scumbag! I just can't believe someone would take advantage of you like this. You do what you have to but I would give this guy a piece of my mind! Go get him Eric.

Re: Who are the longest stage 4 survivor's on here?

I had horrible body aches from my head to my toes so I asked for it. It has completely taken away the aches. However, I did ask, at the beginning of this recurrence, if I could be put on celebrex due to Dr Lin in Washington who has had success with this as part of the regimen. My specialist would no...

Re: Choices

I am happy that you are happy. After this last bout of mine, I try not to think of what could happen. I understand what I have but I am living one day at a time and hoping for the best. I have worked very hard to remain alive and to keep my mind in the right place. I have a great employer also. They...

Re: Who are the longest stage 4 survivor's on here?

Five years and seven months since diagnosis. Currently on Xeloda, Avastin and Celebrex. Last CT/PET scan had no uptake three months ago. Scheduled for another scan next month. Keeping fingers crossed.
