I largely agree with JJH, wanted to reinforce the statement about access without requirements. I do not have a Facebook account and are largely disconnected from a lot of useful sites that require Facebook. I'll spare you the reasons.
Congratulations on the 3 years Jolene. Just had my first colonoscopy post treatment. All is ok so far. Clean CT, MRI and colo. Yikes on your scare, nose?? That’s a weird one. Glad it’s nothing. I had a scare like that on my CT, slightly enlarged mediastinal lymph node. Weird to go from RC straight t...
Excellent, i think you're in even better shape. Using the tissue is even more precise than blood biopsy. I believe you are in a great spot. You have certainly done everything to protect yourself.
Yea, I really don’t know why he is still even having me do cea tests. I am always trying to solve the mystery of why it isn’t as low a some people I see on here, and why it bounces so much. The only thing I can think, is that it is from gastritis which I do have. Who knows ?! Ksue Well, yeah, numer...
I think you are as well informed as possible. With all the caveats you listed, it's a good sign. One thing I wonder is about the initial signatera draw. They need to have a biopsy of some kind (tissue or liquid). Did you have that done ? Edit: I saw your other post, so you had the first draw with th...
When things go decently with a surgery, I seem to find it therapeutic to post a humorous (to me, at least) aspect of the experience. Here goes: P.S. I think you're like me, CEA is not a good indicator of anything. I met with my oncologist yesterday and she pretty much told me that. Yours is around 3.4. When you had full blown T3 it was 6.1. Check what might be causing inflammation in your life, you event went to 4.6 in 2020 and nothing happened ...
As usual, I agree with RR and Andre. My sense is that moderation in googling is a good thing. I went through phases where it was not healthy, more obsessive than useful. The key is to know what to google and what not to google. Anything prognosis is not useful. Details about treatment, side effects, ...
Thank you for everything CRguy, you are truly an institution on this board, helped numerous people through this ordeal and serve as a guide in this chaos of a diagnosis. I went to your first post in 2008 and it was immediately helping others!
I don’t think anybody knows. From my treatment and my conversations with my oncologist, chemo takes almost 1 week to run through your system. When I had to delay chemo, 3 weeks gap was no problem. My friend who is stage 4 goes on multiple 2-week cycles and then takes a break for a few months. She’s ...
