Re: Just Sing, People, Just Sing

Dear Joe and family.

My deepest condolences to you and your loved ones. When my husband was first diagnosed - it was Mary Catherine's voice who was of great comfort to me. The world has lost a great spirit. I am so sorry for your loss - and for ours here at colonclub.

Re: scanxiety/manxiety

OMG - is that familiar! My dh absolutely will not call to get a test result EVER!! It drives me nuts. I think there is so much difference in the coping styles of caregivers and patients - that at times it is totally frustrating. I want to have as much information as possible whereas my husband wants...

Re: Not the best news

I would like to mention Cancer Care as a resource I have found helpful as we have taken this journey. I have been participating in their teleconferences since my husband was diagnosed. They also have oncology social workers available for support via phone. Their web address is: http://cancercare.org...

Re: Hives, welts, swelling, and cancer?

Dori, Thanks for posting this. My husband has been experiencing "hive attacks" the past 2 months. They come mainly in the middle of the night, though one afternoon's session required a nice visit to the ER. Benadryl has taken care of it - but I too am curious as to what is going on. He als...

Re: Diet after treatments

I think it was here on Colon Club where I heard about The Block Center for Integrative Cancer Center. Dr. Block has just had his book published, Life Over Cancer. It is a terrific book and has a lot of good dietary information in it. The dietary recommendations are geared towards where you are in tr...

Re: Children at the funeral!!!

I am so very sorry that you and your family are going through this difficult time. I am not sure if your husband is in hospice care or not. If not - it would be helpful to talk to your local hospice organization. Hospice offers a whole range of services ranging from nursing, home health aides, chapl...

Dear Arizonawoman -

My hubby goes for his 1st post-chemo PET on Monday. All I can say is we share the "scanxiety"!!! (I love that term!)

Blessings and positive energy being sent your way.
