I LOVE AVASTIN. I'm advaced stage IV with unresectable liver mets. Started chemo in early Mar '05 and went on a break in mid Aug '05. I never stopped the Avastin traetments, and so far the Avastin is keeping my cancer from progressing. Side effects are very minimul and I feel pretty good most of the...

Karen, I can totally relate to your condition. I was diagnosed Feb 2005 at age 38 with stage IV, multiple large liver mets. My colon tumor is small and has not been removed. I went on 6 months chemo (5FU/Luek, Camptosar, Avastin). After that I went on Avastin alone, and am currently still on it. Non...

Robin,
I'm only on Avastin right now and have never been on Xeloda, but I started having a lot of joint pain after beginning chemo a year ago. I take glucosamine, which has helped some, but there are times when I can barely lift my arms.

I try to remember that nobody knows when they will depart this planet ...

Fishy, I went on Avastin alone back in August. My last two CT's showed no tumor progression. I have a CT next week and considering the discomfort I've had recently, the Avastin may not be holding things back any longer....but I'm praying it still is. My doctor and I have not really discussed the int...

To kevinlv, I too had unusual pain in late summer 2004...my doctor thought I might be having some gallstone problems and told me to wait and see if it went away...it did, but then came back in Jan. and the pain was so intense I went to emergency thinking I had appendicitis or something. The ER did a...
