People Do...

People with Stage 4 Colon Cancer do survive.

Just checking in to say "Hey" and spread a little hope around. I was diagnosed 8 years ago this month. I am still living and breathing.

Wishing you all the best!

Jen is still hoping... & still praying...

Checking in...

Hi All, I thought it might be time to check in with you all. I looked at my profile and it has been over a year since I popped in to say hello. It was my dream when first diagnosed that I would see my youngest graduate high school. She was just starting the sixth grade. She graduated in June. I will...

Is Sugar Toxic? I used to say No...

I used to say that all carbs metabolize into glucose.

Low Carb diet best for Colon Cancer Survival?

I have been following a low carb diet after I saw this piece on 60 minutes. I eat more lots of chicken and fish with a salad or vegies and have add some fat to make it doable. I find the added fat helps me not miss my old friend sugar. Check out this study about low carb and colon cancer survival. h...

Re: chemo diahrrea

Take Immodian tablets. It's a balancing act. Try a it but not to much. Sometimes my constipation with Irritotecean looked like the runs because it would slip passed the stool.

I found that I had to have Milk of Mag around too.

Best to you,

Jennifer

You may be a candidate for HIPEC. Get a second or third opinion. You can read all about my story by clicking on my ...

Re: ovarian mets

Hi Jenny, I had ovarian mets. I had the right ovary removed during my liver resection 5 years ago. The left ovary was left alone because it looked good. 6 months later it was the size of a grapefruit. I then had HIPEC surgery. They removed all traces of cancer and scraped the walls of my peritoneal ...
