Re: This cancer is getting to my head and I need some help

Thanks to everyone who responded as I don’t feel alone anymore at all and I felt like I was the only one living in my world when everyone else is living in the one that lasts indefinitely and that’s hard. People think about the future and push things today off, because they have indefinite days in t...

This cancer is getting to my head and I need some help

I was diagnosed stage 4 at 36 married with 3 kids. I took this on like a champ and completed multiple major and minor surgeries and 2 separate rounds of chemo before and between surgeries, which knocked me down and I still mentally stayed strong for everyone. Had a huge scare with 2 blood infections...

Re: APR surgery scheduled. Need your advice

I just had this surgery March 19th of this year. This was by far the worst one for myself, not to scare you but I’ve had LAR surgery before this which was much easier healing wise. I spent 7 days in the hospital after surgery alone thanks to covid! The pain was very intense for the first week but be...

Have me second major surgery in the morning and nervous as heck! First one I had no clue what to expect so I walked in there like a champ, this time I know what I’m waking up to and walking in there like a scared cat!

Barbie Butt question?

Hi all, had LAR surgery in September of 19 which removed my sigmoid part of my rectum and colon, the pathology came back with positive margins going “south” not north so to say... the surgeon is recommending removal of everything going south hence the “Barbie butt”, and a permanent colostomy. My que...

Last Round of Chemo!!

So tomorrow morning will be my last bi-weekly poisoning of FolFox and I couldn’t be any more excited! 12 round of up and down hell! Now onto some surgical consults for the positive margins I came back with from the first surgery. Just so happy to say it’s over for now!

Iliostomy or colostomy?

I am currently on a temp iliostomy as of September 19th 2019. Pathology came back with positive margins and now I am told after this round of folfox that I will have everything removed and put on a permanent bag. My question is had anybody had both and is one better then the other
