Re: 'awakening' after colon resection

Took me 8 days for my gut to wake up.....so nothing by mouth until then. Funny I was not even hungry and the first thing I wanted was a McDonald's sweet tea and I don't even like their sweet tea! My cravings were very strange for awhile. I also walked and walked and walked some more.

Re: Pooped my pants at work-- again

In 2008 I had a right hemi-colectomy. Never really had any issues other than some loose stools until now. Recently I have been having some issues with not feeling the need to use the bathroom but when I go in to urinate I notice that I have a little poop in my underwear. I seem to have the leakage f...

Re: Post Gallbladder Surgery pain

My daughter's started with pains in her abdomen and her gall bladder was removed. Two months later she was still getting pains so the surgeon decided that even though she was only 27 he wanted her to have a colonoscopy. The colonoscopy showed a 4cm malignant polyp in the cecum area of the colon. Luc...

Re: 2 Bowel cancer genes found

Are they talking about Lynch Syndrome mutated genes or something else?

Interesting I read: He said it was "conceivable" that specific therapies could be designed to overcome these mutations in the future.

Re: Don't grieve for Me....

Tears here.....thank you Ashlee for posting the poem. You try to be cheerful and upbeat during the Holidays because that is what most expect but for those that have lost a loved one it is a very emotional and difficult time. My older sister and only sibling had Lynch Syndrome like I do. Although bei...
